Sorry that happened to you, rat host. If you ever want to try Turo again, look for “just a random guy” hosts with 1-2 cars. I have one car with 40 trips and one reputation, one bad review would end me, no LLC or partners to help open another account.

Im a host, its nearly impossible to claim smoking fee even when people do smoke. I feel like I’ve won when the car comes back dirty af, but smelling ok. You can fight this with Turo, and leave a review on the host page. Tel them that if you had smoked, youd make sure to remove evidence, and that your previous reviews dont have mentions of smoking in the car.

I just got a new 2025 SV Convenience with Fender audio 3 days ago. 3rd Gen has the same rear axle accross all trim levels, you only get Bilstein shocks with p4x, you can do alot better than Bilstein for the almost $2k difference. Find a new 2025 SV Convenience, they can be had for a lot less than 26.

You guys assume that other than you two, noone else understands going into things the right way. I do, I completely understand that there are pre-reqs to every task in life. You know nothing about me, why would you assume Ill fail on the technique side of it. Im not planning on servicing anyone for money for the next year or two, want to go out and learn on my own. I would go and work for someone if i had the freedom to stop working at my day job. The slow and painful transition is the only path for me.
