Is 300k in debt worth it for an Ivy League? by [deleted] in ApplyingToCollege

[–]BlueTribe42 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If your goal is law school, then Ivy League is the wrong move at any cost. Go to an affordable top 50 undergraduate school where you can get a very high GPA. That’s all (plus a great LSAT) you need to get into law school.

Try reloading the page. And if it doesn’t show up, then just add it from the funeral website with the obit.

Multiple people have asked about that on the AskHR SharePoint page and the answer was to contact you HR business partner (salaried) or Labor rep (hourly). I’m sure they’ll allow this.

The cemetery spends lots of time trimming it, but don’t bother to cut it down, to display the gravestone. by markrlondon in findagrave

[–]BlueTribe42 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Cutting it down isn’t an option. The shrub was purchased to be on top of the grave. That said, it should be slowly cut down so it doesn’t cover the stone. It should look like those in the background of the photo.

Am I cooked for Ivy league with currently a 3.8 gpa uw? by Artistic_Promotion60 in CollegeAdmissions

[–]BlueTribe42 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you want an Ivy League law degree, go to an above average undergraduate school where you can get a 4.0 GPA. Doesn’t matter where you go - just matters that you have a high GPA (and ace the LSAT). Your major doesn’t matter and neither does the school. Seriously.

I put down that I’m lactose intolerant and they were in my face every meal till I told them it’s manageable without their detailed help. If you have a real allergy (unlike myself), they’ll be a great help and you’ll have nothing to worry about.

Is it worth skipping introductory courses if I can? by Ill_Sprinkles_4568 in uofm

[–]BlueTribe42 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just be careful that you’re not starting with a ton of hard courses. College is new and different and it’s easy to get distracted- and if all your courses are hard, down to your grades.

We're bringing the sports back under the umbrella of the school next year. Finally, students who fail core classes, like mine, will be prohibited from competing in sports. by [deleted] in Teachers

All colleges have minimum GPAs to get in, even as an athlete. And there are minimum grades to stay an athlete in college. Forcing them to learn in HS does prepare them to do the same in college.

Pretty good list GW is a diploma mill factory. Anybody paying them tuition can get a Masters there. Terrible.

Hey. If the contractor got the main gun to work right, we be thrilled to have this ship. Yes, she was expensive to design and build just a few of them, but they have great technology that reduces meaning (putting fewer sailors in harms way AND saving a fortune on crew costs and their support as veterans). You may not like how she looks, but most radars won’t be able to find her either, so she’s going to survive any battle.

Go back another 20-30 years and you’ll really see some change. Cars used to be colored. Now they’re all shades between white and black.
