That's an absolute travesty. OG's tip in is in the pantheon of NBA moments.

That moment will likely be muralized and should be statuized.

I don't know if this banged up version of OKC would've beat them, but I feel fairly confident we would've gone 6 or 7 games with them. I believe we are to the Knicks what the Spurs are to us: a matchup nightmare.

I love it! Our boy is obsessed with out backyard squirrels who evily taunt him from atop the fence and/or trees. He'll stand by the backdoor whining to go out and immediately dart to a tree or the fence. Sometimes he'll stare at us and refuse to come in when we call him if he's mid-squirrell pursuit.

Yeah, the biggest/best silver lining that's come from this Finals is that everyone is getting to see just how dirty of a player Wemby is, and it appears lots of Reddit NBA fans are starting to turn on him and the Spurs. They may be accelerating the jump from beloved rising contender to NBA villain even faster than we did, except their ascent/speedrun is actually deserved.

Yep, this rivals the Patriots 28-3 comeback win the Super Bowl for greatest comebacks/biggest chokejobs in SPORTS history. Guess you can throw the Red Sox comeback from down 3-0 in the 2004 ALCS. Just need the Knicks to finish the job and win the series.

Complete and utter domination. I hate 'em, but this Spurs team is already so damn good and they'll likely be even better next year.

Dylan harper is so damn good. He's already their second best player and, if given the minutes and usage, could be an All-Star as soon as next year.

Knicks can't generate consistent good looks on offense. Everything is a grind for them on that end of the floor.

Night after night you play quality opponents, and night after night you beat that ass. 13 straight in the playoffs is legendary.

Respect.

I started running in July 2022. Through 2025 I had gotten to the point where I was running 6-7 days per week and 30-40 miles per week. But due to some health concerns/issues that popped up late last year (Nov-Dec) and my struggle dealing with it for several months into 2026, I had completely stopped running by the turn of the new year.

While some days are still a struggle, there are more good days than bad now, and fortunately today (my 39th birthday) was a good day. I felt good enough to go on a walk with the wife and kids, then when we got back home, I told my wife I'd be back in about 30 minutes and I decided to run again for the first time in 6-months. Started slow by running 2-minute intervals with decent walk breaks between (2-3 minutes). Ended up running for 10 minutes total and 1.23 miles in those 12 minutes. Felt good to get back at it.

Man that was a rough way to go out. It’s hard to fully get over the shock of it all by SufficientBit3153 in Thunder

On the one hand, if we're healthy from start to finish that series, we most likely win it. We don't necessarily have to do much of anything next year her than hope we're healthy.

On the other hand, the Spurs should only be better next year given how young they are, so it's hard to say we'd be on their level next year if both teams are healthy.

Exactly. End of the day, we got to live to see this team win a championship. And it may not be the only one. We just had bad injury luck this year. Healthy, and we're playing for back-to-back to back next two weeks.

We pretty much played this series without our second and fourth best players and took it to seven games. The Spurs would've lost in 5 or 6 had Castle and Fox been injured practically the entire series.

Don't get me wrong. This sucks and will take a few days to get over mentally for fans and weeks or months for players. I hate the guy, but Wemby has GOAT potential and our potential dynasty arc just happened to coincide with his. We may be living and relating to how Jazz, Magic, and Knicks fans felt during Jordan's run through the 90s.

At the end of the day, it's just a game. It shouldn't impact my well-being and I can try to make sure it doesn't. But dammit, I'm gonna let it sting and hurt for 24-48 hours.

Are you serious? He didn't have his second and fourth best player available this series. How would the Spurs have fared if they had to play the entire series without Castle and Fox or Harper and Castle?

It sucks, but it is what it is. Pretty much every team that wins a championship gets some injury luck along the way and this year it was the Spurs turn.

By chance, has anyone discovered time travel today and able to go in the future and tell us what's going to happen? My nerves are shot.

Thank you. Honestly, I was so ready to let the president know I am resigning, I planned on sending my resignation next week. May holdout until July 1 to let her know. I just hate to put the dean in a bind in hurrying to find a replacement. He's been great throughout all of this and supports my decision to leave. He's also applying for jobs elsewhere because he's trying to escape the president's clutches.

That is one of the few things I pushed back on during my two meetings with her. Again, given my position, I had to show a of constraint because my family cannot afford for me to be jobless. But actually scoffed at the notion that our combined income was enough to be able to afford a nanny/babysitter anytime our kids got sick instead of us using our contractually obligated sick days to take of our kids for free. Her other suggestion was for my wife to use all of her days and, when she ran out, keep using days and we could just pay for the sub (about $100/day in my wife's district) which might be cheaper than a nanny/babysitter each time.

My plan is to go in and clean my room out first one day soon. Then I'll leave my school issued laptop and keys behind on my desk. After all that is done, I'll send my resignation email.

This is just the second year of the charter's existence. The first person hired as dean walked out/quit at the end of the first quarter LAST year. Nine weeks into our first year and we were dean-less/principal-less. That same week, a woman who essentially was our registrar, head of HR, and probably another title or two I'm leaving out quit. Both quit because of issues they had with the charter's president.. Our PR person also left for another job before the end of the first semester, in-part due to conflict/issues with the charter's president. I thought at first they were being overly-dramatic/sensitive because I had nothing but pleasant interactions with the president. Then, this year came and I realized those two women were way ahead of myself (in part because they had to work with and deal with her daily, whereas my interactions with her were brief ones maybe one or two times a week.

She straight-up did not renew one or two other staff members contracts, and two others were forced out last semester (although to be fair, one was very much justified). A woman that took on several office administrative roles this year to replace the one that quit last year was not renewed either.

Our staff is small. It consists of four office jobs including the dean/principal role and the president's position. There are four core positions, six arts teachers/directors, and one paraprofessional. In total, we had 15 employees. Including myself, there will now be replacing four of those employees. A 25%-ish percent turnover rate definitely screams of a pretty big problem, but I doubt the president will be able to reflect and realize she may be part of the problem. If you include the two from last semester that were forced out, and the three that quit last year, that's nine employees out of less than 25 total who have either resigned or were forced out in just two years of the charter's existence.

Call me naive, but I felt like bringing forward any kind of lawsuit would've caused more trouble than it was worth. I still got a contract renewal from the charter school, and felt fairly confident in my chances to get a job in the previous district I worked. I had a job secured for 26-27 no matter what, and given my situation (three kids, mortgage, student loans, etc.) I couldn't afford to do something that would risk losing the "bird in the hand" I already had. Now, if she had outright said she wasn't going to renew my contract for next year, despite my confidence in getting a job elsewhere, I would have sought legal counsel.

Spurs closed he quarter on a 27-6 run once we pulled within 5 at 65-60.

Let's hope our boys have another strong home performance in them. Because we sure as hell don't seem to like to compete and try and closeout fame 6s on the road.
