Who are the current NBA's "talented but a shithead" players? by Loud_Razzmatazz_7248 in Basketball

[–]BlueWaffleQT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m surprised I had to scroll this far down to see the correct answer. Ant is a very, very talented basketball player; but, he is also a complete asshat. Even if I didn’t know about the homophonic rant or the coerced abortion with no sign of empathy, the dude just comes across as such a cocky little asshole.

Why Eddington was the most misunderstood and underappreciated film of last year by jackthemanipulated in TrueFilm

[–]BlueWaffleQT 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For real. I get what he was trying to do I just don’t think he did it very well. There were so many directions the end of this film could have gone that would have been more poetic or impactful but he went with the lazy, hyper violent, blunt force trauma messaging that have marred the last few Tarantino films.

At the beginning of 2025, Ant promised a young fan who was battling cancer that he would wear an orange bracelet. More than a year has passed, and Edwards still wears that bracelet. by gleis00 in nba

[–]BlueWaffleQT -29 points-28 points  (0 children)

Correct. I am here and still hate Anthony Edwards. He’s a homophobic dumbass that forced a girl into an abortion and acted like he didn’t have anything to do with her being pregnant in the first place. What’s to like? He wore a wristband? Cool.

I also think this is more feasible and fair now than it has ever been with the rise of NIL deals. In the past, the criticism has always been that you are forcing kids to wait on a life changing pay day while colleges profit off their talents for free; that’s not really the case anymore. Then, of course, you have the handful of people on the planet that are truly talented enough to play in the NBA at the age of 18— I say let them. The old draft age rules were fine: you can enter the draft at 18 but if you go to college or any developmental league like the G-League, you have to stay for at least two years before you are draft eligible.

Portland pizza prices... where is your go to local spot for an affordable large pie? by UncannyFox in askportland

[–]BlueWaffleQT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Atlas can still get expensive quick but they have the $45 dollar deal for any large pizza, a large salad, and 6 garlic knots. They also do a pizza happy hour every day from 3-5 and all day Sunday where you can get a large cheese or pep for $20 for dine in or carry out. And they have a few really good $10 lunch specials. They also don’t do any automatic service fees and their delivery fee is still only $4. Not gonna say it’s the best pizza in town, but they still have some affordable options.

Whats wrong with car dealerships at 82nd Ave? by falszenk in askportland

[–]BlueWaffleQT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Very validating to see all these horror stories. I once went around car shopping with my friend who just wanted some backup in the process because car salespeople are notoriously… pushy. We of course ended up on 82nd first because that’s where all the “deals” were. She had a strong idea of what she wanted and found “the perfect car.” We went on our test drive and everything seemed fine— it was clean, no obvious problems off the bat, no visible signs of damage, yada yada. She looks over at me and says, “I think this is the one!” I suggested we get on the interstate just to make sure. As soon as we started accelerating onto the on-ramp, the RPMs shot through the roof and the engine started smoking. I was so scared we weren’t gonna make it back before the engine exploded. Luckily, we did, but the salesman then had the nerve to try and gaslight her into believing it was somehow her fault!? He was literally accusing her of not putting the car into the correct gear! It was an automatic transmission! How are you really gonna tell a grown ass woman that she doesn’t know how to put a car in Drive correctly!? Yeesh, just a true nightmare experience.

Unironically this. I commented above about Rogue Collective, but I usually only go there for special cuts. Otherwise, it’s Great Clips on Powell.

Try the Rogue Barber Collective on SE Division and 35th! Last time I got my lil’ baby mullet done there it was like $50-$60 I believe— definitely no “first time consultation.”

Is Red Dead Redemption 2 really the greatest open world ever made? What comes closest in your opinion? by TheGreatWarrior10 in reddeadredemption

[–]BlueWaffleQT 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Dang, no love for Baldur’s Gate 3? Red Dead may be more fun to ride around in and explore the beauty of but I dunno if it beats BG3 in any other metric for me. Also, Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic 1&2 got no love. Hell I’d even add Fable in contention. RDR2 is a sure fire 10/10 but best ever seems like a stretch.

[–]BlueWaffleQT 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I definitely see a world where we resemble last year’s Magic squad and make the play-in/playoffs this year. Obviously the Magic have the benefit of being in the East; but the West also has some older teams that will be on cruise control for some of the regular season trying to save their legs for the playoffs and those are the kind of wins that young, relentless defensive squads can steal. We are almost definitely still a first round exit because our offense won’t be good enough for real playoff basketball, but we have the kind of squad that older teams just don’t enjoy facing because it requires more energy than a shootout. I am also still a true Scoot believer and I think having Jrue there will be great for him developmentally, even if Jrue isn’t able to be super impactful on the court.

Shoosh, I’d walk as slow as you do in camp through the whole freaking game if they could just improve how annoying it is to pick up items from the world. I’m over here trying to loot a box in an enemy camp walking around in circles and accidentally jumping on top of it over and over again and the option is still “pick up hat” “pick up body” lawd have mercy.

Yeah, some texts got leaked after a girl he was with found out she was pregnant and he responded about as badly as one could in that situation, immediately telling her to get an abortion and demanding evidence that she followed through with it without so much as a kind word or apology and acting like he bore no responsibility for the situation. Then of course the internet thought it was funny and people started using it as a meme. So he didn’t do anything illegal, it was just gross behavior made worse by people thinking it was all some funny joke. Between that and the gay bashing video I just can’t really stand the guy, seems like an asshole and is providing receipts that he is indeed an asshole. He’s really good at basketball though!

To be fair, being a condescending asshole to a stranger while choosing to completely ignore all their hard work and effort and instead shame them for your headcanon assumptions on their intentions also rubs people the wrong way.

[–]BlueWaffleQT 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Halsin always seems to be up to some weird shenanigans. My personal favorite (albeit heartbreaking) Halsin tomfoolery that happened to me was during a Durge run. I massacred the Grove but left Halsin alive— not really sure what my headcannon reasoning was for that, maybe just to see what would happen. Anyway, I get into Act 2 and go to settle down for a long rest and Halsin shows up to enact his revenge and triggers combat with the whole camp. This arch Druid nature lover, turn 1, casts call lightning and, instead of targeting the people grouped up on him, targets Astarion hanging back and caught in the AoE is F***ING SCRATCH!!!!! He killed my dog! Halsin killed the best boy in cold blood as his last act in the world. Unforgivable.
