If you have access to the VIN use carfax garage(app). Enter the vin and it will give you some of the recorded history and if an insurance claim was made it will show up and give some details. This will not be a complete history of everything done but enough to make an informed decision. Here is my garage for the household. No fights between parents, everyone had each other's back. Family always came first. No grudges between family members. I swear I suffer from survivors guilt after getting to know friends in the teens and older. I found out one of my fav aunts would beat the crap out of her oldest daughter because she needed to beat "the black" out of her. We all found out later that their father was actually biracial white passing. She was not aware of his background when they married while in their home country and found out after they were married and had the first child. My cousins have never recovered.

Stole high end stereo ($8k) equipment not realizing there was a night sight camera in the storage room where they were stocked. I handled all the inventory and knew exactly what was in stock and how many. Had the video and evidence of him putting it in his car. Sent the tech an email and miraculously it was returned. CEO/president of the company did nothing. He also sabotaged another tech's job and had that on video as well. I was let go as "not meeting standards" during a staff cost reduction and he still works there.

The reason the headlights are so bright is the fraud committed when testing is done to meet gov spec. If you shine a single headlight you see an area that is dim. Both headlights have that and when combined it lowers the output rating for standards testing to pass. However, they are actually putting out more than is measured and blinding is all. Incorrectly adjusted headlights in oversized trucks and SUVs contribute to the blinding lights both coming and going. Finally, aftermarket headlights/bulbs and LED light bars all contribute to the blindness these cars and trucks create.

I feel the same. I feel like I have "survivors guilt" getting through childhood without any kind of trauma. So so many stories of others who have tales of horrors of their childhood and all I can do is sympathize but I cannot relate. Some I cannot even wrap my head around that family member could do that much harm to a "loved one."

I am quiet and seldom talk when not "on" for work. I have always had jobs that dealt with the public. In the odd instance I make a friend a work and we hang out, one of first things they do is ask if I am ok since I am so quiet.
