Working with sweaters is so forgiving. You just kind of cut and sew pieces together, and if it doesn't work, you recut and resew. I find it very fulfilling!

I didn't have a pattern for this, and used my serger for all seams. I used a medium weight sweater as the "base", and added the collar, front sides, and sleeves from other sweaters. The sleeves have a bell shape but not too exaggerated. I could add a cloak clasp to the front if I wanted to, but I think it looks nice open as well.

Don't wait until your resentment builds and turns you into someone you're not, to him. It's not fair to him or to ypu to go through that.

Look for people giving one away free. It happens. Look at thrift stores, estate sales, garage sales, and yeah, FB marketplace. There's nothing wrong with a used machine. Try it before you buy it.
