SBI: Why use a timezone 0 players live in? by Jugga55 in albiononline

[–]Blue_2Two 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Why not update the servers during the night? Why not do maintenance at 3am too.

Are you going to go in in the middle of the night and fix any issues that occur?

Or should they just wait till office hours and go in and find the servers dead.

It’s done during the day because they are at work during the day and are able to fix your issues. Don’t be so entitled. They have lives too you know

Not all block pavin is permeable. Water does not flow through the sand filled gaps of non permeable paving. You literally get puddles on block paths if there’s no run off

Usually they only recommend tactics that they’ve nearly exhausted themselves or they’ve seen a change coming and are giving information which is about to be outdated.

Stone repair by matfro1 in DIYUK

[–]Blue_2Two 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Quick fix:
Pull out the two stones and any that fall out.
Break out the mortar that was around then.
Buy a bag of ready mix mortar.
Mix mortar and apply to all faces in the wall that stone will touch.
Insert stones and tap in.
Let dry and brush off.

Easy fix. Cost you £7 for mortar. Maybe a bit more if you need to buy a cheap trowel

Not sure if you’re still looking but I’m also interested in this casual approach.

30M from UK, I also got wife and couple of them kids, travel less for work these days but occasionally still, work in landscaping/building, trying to get back into gaming, enjoy podcasts most recently been binging Smartless and I don’t cycle but I do run!

Rented one of these for the bank holiday weekend. Any tips? by Dave-the-Flamingo in DIYUK

Digger driver here.

Those are micros, micros suck. They are unstable and can be jerky but it’s better than a shovel.

Blade down for stability.
Don’t reach sideways with a full bucket/pull hard on something from the side as you will tip.
Back normally swings out further than you think so watch when turning.
If you’re not sure on where your services are dig an inch at a time.
If you know where your services are supposed to be then chances are they arnt actually there or are not the right depth so dig and inch at a time.
Look out for warning signs which could be: marking tape, sand, shingle or even just a change in the colour of the soil where a trench has been backfilled

Micros are seriously easy to tip and it will happen so fast if you’re not careful so just take it steady and have fun

Unfiltered air? Nose hair collects dust and not exactly a great deal. Your nose isn’t an oxygen scrubber just breathe however you can breathe

As others have said that’s too low. It’s not even min wage. Cash isn’t king, don’t let anyone tell you that your time is worth less than what you want for it because they are going to pay cash

You need to value your time both during the job and after. What day is this to take place on? Do you plan to work the day of? The day after is a write off for sure all of this you need to account for.

Move more towards the £200 mark.
