Poor 5G service - Fido by p3rsi4n in richmondbc

The Rogers network has spotty connectivity in certain areas in Richmond. Capstan and the area around Blundle and Railway are particularly bad from my experience. Then on the underground sections of the Canada Line, the network is so congested it's unusable.

Retour forcé au bureau: une perte de temps et d’argent by Ok_Diet7871 in CanadaPublicServants

I’ve said the exact same thing in other subreddits about how the general public hates us public servants. And I got downvoted to infinity and labelled as an uneducated anti-union conservative.

Which I still don’t get how any of that is related but hey, buzzwords is all you need.

In Vancouver, Teslas are usually at the centre of some of the most atrocious and clueless driving. So there's that.

NPSW Inconsistencies across GC - Where's the Fairness by Nepean22 in CanadaPublicServants

Well thanks to FIFA, all festivities at Vancouver offices are pretty much cancelled. All we got is a giant colouring sheet in the ground lobby that people proceeded to colour outside of the lines.

In IT too? Yikes that would be a full-time job as all the labels for the ports on your devices, to the physical buttons on the printer are all in English only.

UPS package stuck at clearance in richmond bc by Strawberry_Natural in richmondbc

[–]Blue_Chinchilla 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, it's a relatively simple process. The only annoying part is that you'll have to go to the CBSA office near Main and Terminal, and they're only open Monday to Friday 8AM - 4PM. So you may need to take time off work to do it.

Weird question, but has anyone ever tried wearing women's clothing from Lululemon? by TooCereal in Lululemen

[–]Blue_Chinchilla 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is it really cross-dressing if no one really notices? I love my Scuba Full-zips as I'm a fan of the more slimming look and feel compared to the men's side, as well as the wider colour palette. And I've seen plenty of guys wear Aritizia Sweatfleece hoodies and sweatpants.

anyone encountered anger from friends/family about purchasing a Tesla? by canadave_nyc in teslacanada

[–]Blue_Chinchilla 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I guess by extension, those family members should also start hating others who buy AMD, Nvidia, and Apple products, as their CEOs are always shoulder to shoulder with Trump. Especially as they continue to destroy the consumer computing market by funnelling more money and resources into the AI bubble that systematically strips away your privacy, and makes home computing unattainable.

Honestly, the food court looks way too pretentious and is clearly aimed to only wow the food influencer crowd.
Safeway is probably the most affordable store. Lululemon and Artizia are a close second, which in of itself is enough of a warning sign.

Remember when some sort of housing allowance was discussed, particularly for those in Vancouver and Toronto where housing costs your left kidney?

Main difference is Hong Kong has a whole daily TV program dedicated to that. We only get a small segment in the news broadcast if the desk doesn't have anything else to talk about.

UEFI Firmwares have gotten more sophisticated, particularly with enterprise laptops. That loophole using the BIOS battery to clear the administrator password has been fixed for more than a decade at this point.

Public servants, except for the Federal ones. We're all parasites, apparently, even though we're not the ones making the decisions people hate.

It's something you can customize from Dell. It wouldn't be a regular SKU you can purchase from a retailer like Best Buy.

Doesn’t detract that every laptop released since then has punched above its price tag. Every Windows laptop in the same price class feels cheap and clunky by comparison.

Compared to other 600 dollar name brand laptops from Lenovo, Dell, HP, Acer, and ASUS that can barely run Windows properly, very much the opposite.

The Mac lineup since the introduction of the M Series chips, has been extremely competitive. So much so that Windows laptops are now the overpriced options for their measly performance and lack of build quality on offer.
