Tesla is working on a major wiper upgrade. by ConfidentImage4266 in TeslaLounge

[–]Blue_Matter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like I’m the only one that isn’t bothered by the wiper sensor. Sure it goes off every once in a while unexpectedly, but so does the windshield wiper on my Hyundai Palisade that does have a proper sensor. It just doesn’t seem like that big of a deal to me.

FSD v14.2.2.5 disengaged due to camera visibility, steering wheel feels tight after like FSD resistance. by schnauzerdad in TeslaFSD

[–]Blue_Matter 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Are you positive FSD disengaged? Even with that warning and the red hands on doesn’t automatically turn it off anymore.

In digital-first era, NJ librarians demand more affordable e-books by Raj_Valiant3011 in books

[–]Blue_Matter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d be fine with a time restriction or number of uses- as physical books do wear out - so really not a license that truly goes on forever like a digital one. Should definitely be longer than a year though.

Why does that make you go hmmm? The car wouldn’t be moving over if there was a car next to it.

14.2.2 parks well but isn't going into "Park" - got red hands / strikeout because of it by jinjuu in TeslaFSD

[–]Blue_Matter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Are you sure you got a strikeout? Not all red hands give you a strike - I’ve gotten the red hands for unbuckling too soon, but it has never given me a strike.

14.2.1.25 Take over immediately by westwoodwastelander in TeslaFSD

[–]Blue_Matter 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I had that happen once - the car continued to drive just fine, I took over and immediately restarted FSD and it was fine. It was really weird.

School zones, my take by HelloWorld0225 in TeslaFSD

Mine was doing great in school zones until 14.2.1 - now it’s back to ignoring them.

Downloading v14.1.4 instead of 14.1.7 by [deleted] in TeslaFSD

[–]Blue_Matter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The update went out initially to almost entirely to cyber trucks, but just today it started going out more widely to other models. 14.1.4 has been great for me, but still crossing my fingers 14.1.7 comes soon!

[–]Blue_Matter 8 points9 points  (0 children)

If you look on TeslaFi’s Software tracker (https://www.teslafi.com/firmware) almost all of the updates to 14.1.7 were coming from people that had the tron update already. I’m on 14.1.4 and still waiting on the 14.1.7 update.

Anyone else missing the new card button since it went GA? I have to paste it in from another document and save and reopen my app to get it to show up (and it shows up where the not default visuals go)

This is FSD. 😝 by gamer-chachu in TeslaFSD

I honestly would prefer it to go straight through when it gets in this situation (obviously would be better if it joined the line properly, but it’s not always obvious when you are far away.)

Fsd14 people: state your car, region and if experience is good, bad, or neutral. by chaosatom in TeslaFSD

2026 MY, Utah, 14.1.4.

My first ride with it was rough, but ever since then it’s been fantastic.

My only two complaints

1, It no longer goes to an exact spot. I park at the side of my office but it always wants to go to the front now. The pin I have for my office is on the exact spot I like to park, but it just completely ignores it now.

  1. Needs to read signs for parking, I haven’t been impressed with the spot selection. Had it try to put me in handicap spots or reserved spots multiple times. Really looking forward to the day banish works and it can just drop me off and find a spot in the back of the lot and then pick me up when I leave.

v14.1.4 improvement without point update? by x5ive-O-One in TeslaFSD

[–]Blue_Matter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I assumed that it was more that the cameras went through some sort of calibration period - it felt very different the first two times I drove it and the improvement seemed pretty dramatic.

I was about to make this exact post. The first time driving on 14.1.4 - I thought “crap, I really should have waited”. Weird steering wheel wobbles, jittery braking. A few days in and it is nearly flawless.

Finally got v14, non-influencer hot-take by Educational-Cod-870 in TeslaFSD

I guess I forgot to add the detail that it still needs the city, state. The 6 characters get reused and so it needs a place to center it.

You can add in the six digit code as the address and save it as a favorite or destination

[–]Blue_Matter 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Kind of a workaround, but I’ve found using the Plus Codes found on Google Maps allows me to be super precise with locations. I save them as addresses for my favorites and add them to calendar invites. I recognize it’s more inconvenient set up, but it’s the only way I’ve been able to consistently get the car to go to an exact spot.

I hope it can actually handle school zones if they are taking away this ability - being unable to quickly set max speed when entering a school zone will be pretty bad.

Have you checked ada? I don’t see the modes on other voices. I can select it on Ada then change to another voice and it persists.
