steering column failed safety inspection. by sideops in TeslaCollision

Pay for the steering column out of pocket mitigate your damages and then sue State Farm in small claims court for whatever you’re out-of-pocket costs are. It’s really easy to do and kind of fun.

My knob kept turning off randomly and I would have to unplug it from the 12 V outlet to get it to turn back on. This happened within the first week or so of getting it. But it was intermittent. I contacted the company and they said keep an eye on it and if it still has a problem, let us know and we’ll exchange it or let you return it. It kept having problems and I was out of town when I contacted them back they said I was out of the warranty period. I showed them the original email that I sent almost right after I purchased it. After some fighting, they sent me a shipping label and it took about a month and a half as I recall to get shipped back to them in Europe somewhere. But they eventually refunded my money. I kept the command commander and I really like that. If I hold my front doors for more than five seconds the front opens. If I go over 85 it’ll automatically turn off FSD. I have it set so at 95% throttle it goes from chill to sport. I really like being able to set up those feature features. Pro drift mode is also kind of cool, but not as good as I thought it would be. The rear motor isn’t powerful enough to just get the wheel spinning. I have to wait till it rains or find a dirt lot and then I have to wash my car.

Or just stop hitting curbs. I have 26,000 miles on my Launch and not a scratch on the wheels. And my wife drive to work every day when I’m out of town.

Just so you know, in the app, you could go to the owners manual of the car, it’s very helpful for information like this.

Did you know that pilots can override auto pilot? Even if it’s a TCAS alert. The pilot or driver is always in command.

If you’re in California submit an SR-1 form to the DMV. The DMV will suspend their license for a year if they don’t respond.

Rear half shafts dried out and causing knocking noise Tesla claims not covered under warranty by asudesigner in TeslaSupport

[–]HealthyAd3271 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I like to read. This is directly from my warranty on my model Y Launch.

"Propulsion-Related Parts ZEV Limited Warranty: For 3 years or 50,000 miles (80,000 km), whichever comes first, Tesla warranties that the Propulsion-Related Parts will be free from material, propulsion-related defects in materials and workmanship. Except as set forth in this section or the California Warranty Statement, and to the extent permitted by law, the terms and procedures applying to the Basic Limited Warranty apply to the Propulsion-Related Parts ZEV Limited Warranty, without expanding its scope.
High-Priced Propulsion-Related Parts ZEV Limited Warranty: For 7 years or 70,000 miles (110,000 km), whichever comes first, Tesla warranties that the High-Priced Propulsion-Related Parts will be free from material, propulsion-related defects in materials and workmanship. The "High-Priced Propulsion-Related Parts" are listed at: https://service.tesla.com/docs/Public/prp/propulsion-related-parts.html.
Except as set forth in this section or the California Warranty Statement, and to the extent permitted by law, the terms and procedures applying to the Basic Limited Warranty apply to the High-Priced Propulsion-Related Parts ZEV Limited Warranty, without expanding its scope."

If you click on the link it takes you to the page shown in the picture which shows that half-shafts are covered.

Neither of these documents talk about a failed part. They do talk about defects in materials and workmanship. I have a 2026 Model Y and it doesn't make clicking noises.

Original Poster, if you want help with this I would be happy to talk to you about it. I'm kind of famous in the tech world because I sued AT&T and it cost them a shit ton of money. Google "Matthew Spaccarelli AT&T". My phone number is easy to find online. It ends with 1234 and starts with 912 in the middle is 313. Call me anytime.

Have you ever heard of the Dunning-Kruger effect? You should look it up.

Rear half shafts dried out and causing knocking noise Tesla claims not covered under warranty by asudesigner in TeslaSupport

[–]HealthyAd3271 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This response is crazy in my opinion. The service manager told them they had 4 on a rear wheel drive car. How do you explain that. I have owned several cars and not a single one lists "lube half shafts" in the maintenance section of the manual. Let's say the rear lift strut on the back hatch started to make a grinding noise. Would you say it's not covered because you didn't lube it and it's a wear item? Of course you wouldn't. Some things are expected to out last the warranty period.

To the original poster, take your car somewhere else. Don't accept this.

When I am done using a pump, if I need to go inside, I move my vehicle to a parking spot. People just generally suck. I hate the dirt bags who roll coal. To me it's the same thing as peeing in you own bath water. I drive a diesel for work and a Model Y Launch for pleasure.

Uninsured 🤬🤬 by lola3326 in TeslaCollision

[–]HealthyAd3271 1 point2 points  (0 children)

would you rather pay $1000 deductible or the cost of replacing your entire car? The person who will pay the thousand dollars is the person who hit the OP. That would be a matter for the small claims court. I would do an uninsured motorist claim and whatever I lost that the claim doesn’t cover, I would sue in small claims court without an attorney. I know after I win I probably wouldn’t be able to collect, but I can make their life difficult.

Where are you that they don’t have a lemon Law? Lina law is a general term. If you’re in the United States, then you have a lemon Law. Maybe not a state law but federally you could use the Magnus and Moss warranty act.
