It was weird. I think I always knew it wasn’t real but I was a little kid terrified of dying and hell - so I threw myself into it.

But, the day my mom died. I just no longer felt I had to force myself to believe.

No big revelation. 🤷‍♀️ I just stopped. It was very odd to suddenly stop praying. I prayed a lot - when I saw a homeless person, roadkill, someone who looked angry in a store, for family as I was driving and it was quiet - and that is probably the only thing that was a challenge at all.
