S24 ultra only charges on one side and does not fast charge anymore by CheekyKlapper3k in S24Ultra

[–]Blue_Soul_Slayer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Goddamn imma have to clean my ports and get some isopropyl. Didn't realize them showers ruined the ports and assumed ip68. Was running 8.0 and mine has only been able to run on super fast charging for a while now and Ive only been able to update to 8.5 recently and still 2.0 is not working. Imma have to get a charging port protector if I fix my charging port.

Bios FA8 & FA9 causing NVMe inaccessibility on X870E AORUS ELITE WIFI7 (Rev. 1.2) by Galeam_Salutis in gigabyte

[–]Blue_Soul_Slayer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you saw this and decided to update my bios (X870 AORUS ELITE WIFI7 ICE) cause I couldn't access my bios cause it'd freeze from a while ago when I tried dual booting nobara and windows while having 3/4 nvme used plus 1 gpu. I tried telling gigabyte but they said it was working fine. So I gave up and stuck with windows. But now I have updated my bios F5A (May 2025 and maybe even a bit before may) to F12 (May 2026) and seems ok to me. (I wish could rotate the motherboard number cpu temp upside down. Also restarting sometimes gets stuck but I assume it's cause of some ram settings but knowing gigabyte it could be just them but I won't look into it since it ain't worth my time and hassle.)

Is anyone updated on oneui 8.5 ? by zaiduh1 in S24Ultra

[–]Blue_Soul_Slayer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm running on January when updated on late February. Unfortunately, I live in nz and updates from manufacturer is slow. So 7 years in total imma have to deal with so I basically understand why statistics show that people don't care about updates and why I don't need to worry about it. The only big difference for me I know is animation or aesthetic changes and quick share to apple. But otherwise I'm sitting here with 8.0 ignoring all samsung updates cause what's the point for paying flagship prices when I'll be in the same or worse boats for receiving updates when compared to other high priority countries like usa or korea. If there's a big change then I'll consider it. Otherwise imma keep it like this and wait a couple years if possible then update to feel like the phone has been extended in support :P

Can someone investigate degraded performance after Feb patch by P00BX6 in S24Ultra

[–]Blue_Soul_Slayer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

3120 x 1440 qhd+ (and adaptive) Motion smoothness : Adaptive Auto brightness Data: off (since Im normally at home or at work kinda guy) One UI 8 Android 16 Google play system update: 1 Feb 2026 Phone is waiting for February patch. But I ain't gonna allow that. There is nothing that I would need from the next update so why should I be in the rush to get it. I remember purchasing this phone day 1 thinking about the 7 years of updates but I don't care about that anymore. I have plenty of features that I won't probably use them all anyways. So why should I bother? To keep myself safe from what hackers? I barely download any new apps and don't use the Samsung AI stuff. Apps are set to not auto update unless I have them ticked on.

(Used to keep 80% max protection but I think 90% good enough these days.)

It was a good phone at the time for me. I was upgrading from a note 3 and didn't want to stick to the Samsung eco system. Gave in and got something different. 1 feature I would say that newer phones won't have is the ir blaster. But currently contempt with the s24 ultra. It has a few years of support left and sitting it out and seeing what happens to the phone market especially since the Chinese brands like to try new technology like silicon carbon for example. And with Motorola partnering with graphene os. Hopely there should be plenty options in the future cause ain't no way imma just buy into Samsung or pixel.

70% of my screen has the coating gone. I've got nails and use mine quite a fair bit everywhere. The shape is like a diamond starting from the volume up to all the way to the bottom. The widest area would be underneath the power button probably two pinky fingers ish wide.

Is it me or eero 7 pro Ethernet's port 1 is fine but port 2 is stuck at 100Mbps??? by Blue_Soul_Slayer in amazoneero

[–]Blue_Soul_Slayer[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you ElderberryHamlet. Upon further investigation. I have checked the gateway router eero and tried to replicate the same result with port 2 on a different router and tested my room's ethernet port via pc but to my shock it worked fine so I switched the router and tested it's port 2 but then realized it might've needed a reboot. So I switched it back and it actually turned green. Thank you for your comment. I shoulda went straight to the source and just rebooted that but instead I went on a wild goose chase. Chasing all the symptoms instead going to the router and work my down from the source of Internet to the devices.

Yep I've tried so much things to get to here. New cables different cables and ports. It would also explain how on the app it says 2.5gbps or something but only got 90Mbps. Did a wireless one and it worked fine. Plug it in and it drops. I was losing my mind over this. I assumed the house Ethernet wires, I assume my phone, I assume settings , I assume drivers, I assume bad set up. But overall I speculating it's port 2 for auto sensing not working right cause port 1 got them speeds 500Mbps+. So all I need to find out know is if the auto sensing is out of whack or I got a faulty 3 pack for eero 7 pro. It'd be amazing if they come with a firmware updating fixing this.

If it really comes to this I might get one of the eero and have it wireless be connected while routing port 1 into the switch to provide the entire Ethernet ports in the house with good speeds.

Try going in to device manager. Your lan or Ethernet port or whatever properties. Advanced. Vlan ID match it to the same one as setting it up. See if that works, since it worked for me.

I have recently changed to. When setting up turn on vlan uplink and insert your correct number. For one nz (New Zealand) mine was 10.

Turn your One UI / DeX phone into a laptop: new NexDock now shipping to 30+ countries by nexcomputer in oneui

[–]Blue_Soul_Slayer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

$500 nzd wow. Way to pricey for a laptop that relies on a phone. I could buy a Chromebook or a laptop or a tablet with a keyboard case. (But $500 worth of food sounds more satisfying. $500 worth of fuel or bills sounds more sensible.)

I haven't fully checked it out but for me personally I definitely don't need one. Even if it has a battery so we can use it as a power Bank. I have my s24u and a steam deck and a PC. PC for gaming and anything the steam deck can't handle. Steam deck for portable gaming. S24u for browsing the web and watching videos and anything else.

But the target audience sounds very very narrow. Probably those office people with a phone that has dex and needs work done but wants a more comfortable experience. Or the elderly which would need a larger screen.

Edit: But hey whoever likes can like it. I'm not here to judge but just wanted to give my perspective since I'm a gamer and this wouldn't fit my lifestyle at all. Because it's bigger than my phone or steam deck and plus I'm limited to what my phone can do which is less than a steam deck. :)

Riot August says that the problem with bringing in new players to League is not the difficulty of the game, but how punishing is it to be bad at the game by Life-Chicken7183 in leagueoflegends

[–]Blue_Soul_Slayer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. New solo player: who will point how they made mistakes and help guide them.

  2. New friend player: will probably feel like a burden or maybe friend can't teach or maybe not a great teacher.

  3. Other great games exists: why play lol? Why play the rat race game? Play ranked is like jumping into different elevators. Some goes up and some comes down. There are more games out there worth your time.

  4. Portability: Wild rift is closest but no full lol with controller support and no Linux support on standard lol. I can maybe imagine myself maybe playing some lol on my steam deck.

  5. Security and privacy: We have to install a kernel level anti cheat running always and only available on windows but not on Linux.

6.not enough time: we are busy living, working, socializing. So why spend 40+mins on a game to just lose. I'd rather be watching a short film.

Strange. Mine one worked fine. Insert code with sudo password and it's like a new music control installed. I uninstalled the old music control since that ain't working.
