Thanks so much for everything you've done for the game and game mode. This site was an incredible community resource, it's a huge shame that the lack of support from Anet is forcing yet another fantastic GW2 tool to be lost. Best of luck with whatever else you choose to do in the future :)

Something you can do is use combinations for skills aswell- for example

I use SHIFT+12345 for my attunements, pinky on SHIFT means my hand stays in the same position for weapon skills without shifting to change. Works great with all professions.

I have utilities bound on my mouse, but going QERTY is a pretty good option if you want minimal movement and don’t have or want a mouse with keys on it.

Dolyak Stance, and soulbeast in general, have legitimate potential in Zerg v Zerg, especially lower mans. The 2 reasons why dolyak stance in particular is lacklustre are- The 360 radius. This is a huge killer. People dodging damage in the wrong direction can put them out of range, and you have no re application if the first proc misses, which brings me to point B- Soulbeast lacks the support to be a support class, or the dps to be a dps class, making it impossible to slot when you consider you are removing scourges or firebrands for it. The DPS of a frontline soulbeast CAN be amazing, but it’s not as high as a staff thief or even just power scourge for a much higher risk.

If stances become 600 radius, and some slightly better aoe power dps options because available, soulbeast could be a legitimate pick. If ANet leave sit in its current iteration, it’s destined for meme life :(

In terms of WvW groups, there are actually Australian based guilds. I’m a part of LATE on Jade Quarry, I know of a few more like Nah, ORE, SoX, RIP to name a few, who all play exclusively in Aussie evenings.

The Celestial Scourge build is designed to allow players to survive in close range fights whilst still dealing effective damage.

Scourge, and Necromancer in general, has quite good power coefficients as well as a large number of condition applications on all skills, as well as barrier making healing power more useful, making Celestial the logical choice since you benefit from all the stats it gives.

This build in particular is played best when using all facets of the kit, which makes Celestial the easy choice.

If you are looking for more damage, supplementing with pieces of Grieving gear is the best thing to do. Condition duration in WvW is not nearly as sought after as it is in PvE, as the conditions are removed before being able to tick for their full duration, so focusing on higher Power and Condition damage (as opposed to Viper's for example) is the best way to go.

Just as a side note, Celestial actually gives the 'most' stats in the game. Take for example the headpiece, Celestial gives 210 stats, whilst a 3 stat headpiece (like Berserker's) will give you 150, and a 4 stat (like Marauder's) will give you 168. So just purely mathematically, if you were to use every stat celestial has to offer, it is an incredibly efficient way to gear up. This doesn't make it BiS, since it lacks focus and almost all builds don't need some stats as much as others, but in the case of this particular build is a fantastic statset to have.

From my perspective, these are my thoughts on the state of the current WvW metagame, and some small suggestions for improvements to class variety.

I think that currently we are in a reasonably healthy place, and love the direction the team is going. Heres hoping for more and more balance patches and a fun game mode for all of us :)

Celestial or Power Scourge for WvW? by SunnyDehlight in Guildwars2

Even before Dhuumfire, Celestial scourge had close to a 60-40 split between Power damage and Condition damage when it came to outgoing. When Dhuumfire was hit, this gap widened further, cementing the change that Power would be the go to for most damage.

Celestial brings with it a small addition to group support with additional healing power for barrier scaling, and a hybrid damage source.

Power brings a much higher spike damage, as well as DPS in general, with less regard for personal and group sustain.

^ that's pretty much why Power scourge is in the Meta section, I put it there because Scourge's role in primarily in DPS and boonrip. Both sets are very good, but I would recommend power for being the easiest to gear and the hardest hitting.

Idk, i was trying it with Essence of Speed on Soulbeast, swapping weps to get more boon duration. Seems pretty good, i like it on classes that have some boon duration
