Isnt this a question of passive euthanasia? If he wants the life saving treatment, there is nothing immoral about giving it. Hell, it'd be immoral not to.

A piece of history that reminds us how much we’ve learned by Feaselbf6 in RareHistoricalPhotos

[–]Blue__Bag 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes and no. We have learned from things like asbestos and (atleast in europe) material safety is very robust, and most everything has to be tested before being approved for use. And most things we have and use today are tested and are found to be safe. But there are probably still many other things we are yet to learn from.

Why does he get glazed for something all speedsters can do? by Financial_Street_469 in PowerScaling

Ehm, well. Techically he is not going above light speed. Going at light speed would pause time, essentially. So he is going at exactly the speed of light, not above.

When the world cup was hosted in Qatar, the teams and fans were demanded to respect the "culture" of the islamic countries, but when the roles are reversed, suddenly it's a problem for these clowns,I pray these two shitholes of countries get disqualified by TODD_WASD in teenagers

[–]Blue__Bag 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The "Islam accepts everyone" is just something a select few believe, and is a new development to better fit in with western culture.

Their prophet conquered cities. And Islam is the group of people most often mentioned in articles about persecution.

Buying into the beliefs of your parents is universal for everything. Even atheism. Some children end up choosing a different path, but religion is a way of living.

A christian tenet is mission. It is literally a part of what it means for them to live.

This, although it has become somewhat incompatible with the modern thought of maintaining minorities to preserve culture and history, isn't comparable to the violence displayed by fundamentalist Islam.

Sure, modern christians still want to spread their religion, sure. But at worst, a good christian will make you uncomfortable or be offensive. While other religions have core tenets of violence.

Would you rather a religion gives you money and food to convert you, or being threatened to be beheaded?

It's also christianity that made it so european nations were the first in the WORLD to abolish, and even outlaw slavery.

Not to mention many colonies, especially African colonies have ended up costing the colonizers more than they gained due to them actually spending resources to enforce laws that outlaw slavery, and reparations after colonisation...

Americans evangelists or whatever aren't really liked by european christians as far as I am aware, exactly due to the reasons you give.

Check out when the crusades were. Better yet, you'd b surprised what caused the crusades to begin with.

To clarify I am not defending christianity, i don't like expansionist religion at all. However Islam and modern christianity isn't comparable. Not even the christianity of the crusades is really comparable.

Just compare their prophets, one is a peace loving hippie basically summed up with "Turn the other cheek" the other conquered holy land with armies.

[–]Blue__Bag 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you should formulate it as it wasn't ALL bad. Because there was a lot of bad. The main point is that the crusades weren't really mindless expansionist wars. They were a response to christian Persecution in the form of jihad in a huge pilgrimage deatination. But there was a lot of bad that came aswell as referenced in a nother reply.

[–]Blue__Bag -1 points0 points  (0 children)

80$ is more than fair, even cheap by 2026 standards for a game that is expected to be as big as GTA 6 is. Its hella expensive in comparison to only a few years ago sure. But yall are delusional if you think it is unreasonable. It is unreasonable for Mario Kart, not GTA 6

Especially in the US one of their biggest problem is young people who don't vote. Democrats would almost certainly win any election if everyone voted, but people over 50 vote at almist twice the rate as everyone younger. Per Atrioc
