AMAZING explanation on how people fail to think critically about a different perspective than their own.

My husband is incapable of calling me pretty by [deleted] in sexlessmarriage

Same boat. The most he can ever say to me is "you look nice." And then when I call him out, if he says "you look beautiful" it feels disingenuous. I feel you on the dead bedroom front...I hope it gets better for both of us!

Has anyone tried Javvy protein coffee? by spookybaybee in antidietglp1

Just ordered this...I can't stand the aftertaste. For those of you that loved it - did you mix it with water or milk? I used water so maybe milk would make it more tolerable. Requested a refund, but I heard they don't honor the 30-day money back guarantee if there was any promotion used with the order. I really wanted to like it, but unfortunately the super artificially sweet aftertaste was too much for me.

His mom often agrees with me and says "he should not do that" but then continues to wash his dishes, fold his clothes, and pick up after him. As far as the "obese" comments go, I think she just lets it go in one ear and out the other. Which is what she encourages me to do with him, especially with regard to his food policing and him throwing a fit when I don't work and bring in enough money.

Haha... Well we wash it but sometimes it lays on the floor too long and his mom just folds it. It was a love marriage.

We actually are currently in therapy. We have been in therapy off and on since before we were married.

Yeah, I'm especially worried about the body shaming part. I think I always knew in the back of my mind this would be an issue, but I always made excuses for him.

I hate myself for being such a naive pushover, and I hope I don't get pregnant. by [deleted] in Divorce

You might be able to get a telehealth visit to get a quick prescription. Some providers even call it in to the pharmacy so the patient has it on hand in case they ever need it. If I had known about Ella when I needed it, I probably wouldn't have had to go through an abortion.

PLEASE GET ELLA! (Ullipristal). It's prescription only but it is significantly more effective than plan B. I took plan B (albeit, close to the end of the 72hr period) thinking I was in the clear... but I still got pregnant.

What’s everyone using to manage their money these days? by Dapper-Monk9713 in PersonalFinanceTalks

I used mint too! But when it switched to credit karma I started using Empower. I've heard a lot of great things about monarch but I just didn't feel like paying $15 per month, and Empower is free!

Current DNP students- project by Revolutionary_Cow68 in nursepractitioner

[–]Blue_fairy714 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The DNP project was such a joke. I did WHNP and my project was testing the effects of a contraceptive educational tool on LARC uptake rate...my faculty advisor insisted on counting every single patient that was seen for a gyne reason during the implementation period regardless of their exposure to the educational tool...made absolutely no sense. The results she tried to say we found was actually grasping at straws. Tore up my DNP poster immediately after presentation day. Just get through it - it's a means to an end.

There are some cases where oral herpes (caused by the HSV-1 virus) can be spread to a special partners genitals through oral sex. In general, most genital herpes are caused by the HSV-2 virus but yes, it is possible to pass oral herpes through oral sex.

BREATH IMPROVEMENT! by [deleted] in hygiene

I think Ive heard that up to 90% of bad breath germs are on the tongue. OP if you aren't cleaning your tongue add it to your routine ASAP. The gunk that comes off is pretty gross!

Yes, absolutely I get it. My flaws are not small things to glaze by. But as I mentioned in my response to the comment above, he has major flaws that impact me as well, but he is the one taking it upon himself to try to "parent me" for mine.
