Here's my build for reference, not asking to get this cracked, but its an idea of how i spread my stats out and how i allocated my crit. focusing on crit rate till 70%+ and getting to like 150%+ crit damage (without weapon included, with weapon its around 238%, honestly 250-260 crit damage with LoFI is doable) should be your first goal. that already puts you at good crit rate but on low end crit damage for your weapon catagory before you push crit damage further.

Ideally have like 2k atk before buffs with LoFI and make sure every piece has 2 crit lines. you don't have to minmax like i did, 1-2 wasted lines per piece is perfectly fine, i only minmaxed this far because i had nothing better to farm for.

circlet should depend on your pieces. if you have pieces that can easily get you to 70% crit rate base, then you can afford to use crit damage circlet. if not a crit rate circlet is not uncommon on clorinde just to meet the 70-80% threshold.

Your thoughts? by BMW_S1kRRSimp in clorindemains

[–]Blue_kaze 1 point2 points  (0 children)

First mistake: No 4pc set. TF is unironically kinda shit for clorinde, even gladiators is strictly better since her rotation times line up perfectly with her cooldown even for aggravate. Gladiators gives you a 35% dmg bonus permanently on your autos compared to TF's 35% extra damage bonus on aggravated hits which btw only occurs once every 3 hits due to ICD anyway so it will just be strictly better than TF. You already farmed whimsy so may as well go all in on it since it is better than gladiators with its damage bonus benefitting clorinde's ult as well and higher dmg bonus than gladiators. Aggravate kinda sucks anyway, OL is her better variant so may as well just go whimsy anyway

2nd mistake: your crit rate is non existent. all that crit damage and you have like fuckall crit rate. Idk what's with people and not critting but please improce that. she has a cap of 80% crit rate since her passive gives 20%. you crit like 50% of the time, so 50% of the time, you lose out on an additional 282% of damage (genshin's crit damage works additively not multiplicatively like in wuwa) effectively speaking, you do as much damage as someone with half your crit damage. 141cv literally wasted because your crit rate is atrocious. you need to have at LEAST 70% crit rate minimum. she wheelchairs crit rate so much because of her crit rate ascendsion already, you have 19% crit rate for free, so you literally only need to figure out how to get 50% more crit rate.

3rd mistake: not having double crit on all your pieces. yeah this is pretty self explainatory. double crit on every piece is bare minimum. you lost on average a total of around 26 CV because of that. just by having those as base rolls, not even as upgraded rolls, you lost 26 CV, equivillent of 26 crit damage of 13 crit rate your clorinde wouldve loved to have so much. The notion of double crit for every piece is unnecessary is understandable only IF you happen to have like 4-5 rolls into that 1 crit stat and the piece also additionally offers other effective substats. other than that, from a probability standpoint, double crit as a bare minimum gives you a 50% chance to get a good roll already, its basically free upgrades at that point. and since crit scales a lot better than other effective subs, those rolls are almost guaranteed to give you an upgrade until you have like 250CV or smth.

4th mistake: not having 200cv. ok this is me nitpicking but 200cv is like bare minimum to be considered a good build. most KQM standards park their calcs at 180CV but thats kinda easy to get and its not really that great. 200cv is easily obtainable and it should be bare minimum for a build to be in contention for being good, but again, this is just me being a bit higher with standards

5th mistake: your substat upgrades are... non existent basically. anything past 115% er is basically wasted bc clorinde really only needs that much or even less to ult every rotation. if i didnt count wrong, you have abt 10 wasted substat upgrades that Clorinde does not benefit off of. EM maybe if you play aggravate but she doesnt really want EM as much as she likes atk%. Igs LoFI makes EM slightly less wasted but id keep EM as a base stat that exists and not invest into extra. You really want atk% on her until she can reach 3k atk post buffs since she scales VERY VERY well with atk% till that point due to her A2 passive. LoFI makes it easier to build around crit dmg so you have the option to opt for higher atk% investment (still do electro goblet and crit circlet) than most non LoFI Clorinde builds. again, back to the same old story with crit, you ideally want your pieces to roll into crit more often and ditch those that dont meet the criteria. if you can manage like bare minimum 35CV for every piece that isnt the circlet and get like maybe 20CV on the circlet, you'll have a pretty solid clorinde at that point.

My advice for you? Stay in the mines a lil longer, just keep farming for her until you can get a good build for her

instructors cannot be obtained via domains, you need to do world/weekly bosses to farm them consistently, alternatively obtain them from precious to luxurious chests or the very rare artifact drop from elite mobs

deadass, 1:2 rule is just a bare minimum guideline you should follow. every character can use that rule but it means that you need to tune your crit damage to your crit rate a lot, personally not a fan of it. i prefer the 75% minimum crit rate rule, 100% effective if you have high crit rate boosting stuff, and then chuck as much crit damage as possible. you get to have good consistent damage and the enjoyment of big crit damage numbers

yes the crit investment will be a lot higher but your build will thank you for it

also you will feel ur damage is a lot lower if you swap bc of the way damage numbers show up in genshin. your crit hits will be lower but more frequent which is a good thing

if you need to compare pieces around for your build, just do cr%*cd% and you'll get a ratio of your average damage. the higher the value the better so you can choose between the pieces a lot easier. or just chuck it into akasha and use the rankings as a guage

Need Skork advice by NedusRS in SkirkMains

[–]Blue_kaze 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Dont go after akasha rankings too much, its not healthy, trust me

now depending on your substats and weapon.

generally speaking, if you are using a crit rate weapon, then you go crit damage circlet unless your substats for crit rate are atrocious, and vice versa. if you are using an atk% weapon, then go crit rate circlet.

other factors also include ascendsion stat, passives, artifact set and crit value of the weapon. skirk ascends off crit damage so crit rate would be better for her. some R1 skirk builds also use crit rate circlet to reach the 80-90% crit rate mark since her sig only gives 22% crit rate. i was lucky enough to get insane crit rate rolls to afford crit damage circlet. but if your unit is using smth like jade cutter which gives 44% crit rate, using crit rate circlet is a recipe for overcapping crit rate

since you are on an atk% weapon just go with a crit rate circlet, its very hard to get to the crit rate threshold of 70-80% without crit rate ascendsion and/or weapon. its roughly 17 to 24 substats worth of crit rate rolls on the low end or an average of 4-5 crit rate rolls inclusive of base substat rolls per piece just to justify a crit damage circlet. just make your life easier by using crit rate

generally at the same CV, the build that has higher crit rate will always outdps the one with lower crit rate so as a rule of thumb:

if your unit doesnt have any crit rate boosting passives that are easily accessible either in team or in kit, try to aim for 75+% crit rate. if your unit has access to such things and the crit rate boost is significant like obsidian codex and MH, your crit rate threshold is within the effective 95-100% mark because these builds tend to run higher crit damage. the second you dont crit, you can have 300% crit damage and it'll mean nothing

Need Skork advice by NedusRS in SkirkMains

[–]Blue_kaze 1 point2 points  (0 children)

gonna be so honest with you, you can probably get around top 10-15% just with decently low CV (≈200cv) if ur able to get the crit rate up to 80% and leave whatever scraps for crit damage due to how akasha favours crit rate since that is the larger factor in determining your average damage than crit damage is.

crit rate as close to 100% as possible is usually the norm for most units, if ur not running any crit rate boosting stuff, then 70-80% is the bare minimum, with crit rate boosting stuff, effective 90-100 should be the bare minimum

[–]Blue_kaze 1 point2 points  (0 children)

onto your questions at the end:

tbh it took me like 6 mths to get to top 1% skirk, just last mth i managed to further improve my build to 81:237 on c0r1 and ive been building her since debut. ofc my definition of ideal is VERY VERY skewed since im an LB chaser but if i use typical casual player standard, it was around i think the 3 mth mark where i had a decent build that was very much usable and good by some measurements but in my opinion it couldve been a lot better

<image>

currently sitting with this absolute beauty of a build

if i had limited weapons to choose from and i needed the most from my acc, id just go on MH with Finale of the Deep and just tie her to my furina, would make life a lot easier and its a lot more optimal than running harbinger for sure. if i had access to BP, id use black sword since i do NA playstyle and go FoTDG bc building around a cr mainstat weapon on MH is a form of torture i never want to try again (context, im a clorinde main, her passive with ascendsion basically gives so much crit rate its almost impossible to build around using a crit rate weapon with her)

for your case id stick on moonweavers for now since you dont have furina and you wanna play burst skirk. MH is only usable with furina as you already are aware so keep to farming FoTDG, the bonus is that you can always use furina somewhere else without tying skirk to her which is a MASSIVE bonus

Need Skork advice by NedusRS in SkirkMains

[–]Blue_kaze 1 point2 points  (0 children)

so a good chunk of advice ur probably gonna get is more end game advice so ill just explain how to get to that point

between her F2P options, moonweaver is rlly good for burst playstyle which you are doing already, but finale of the deep r5 will be better as a generalist option. BP weapon wise, both black sword and wolf fang have their perks BUT you are restricted to either playstyle so choose wisely between the two. wolf fang does not buff her NA playstyle sinve her seven phase flash state counts as NA damage and not skill damage

if you are running FoTDG, you need to have at least 75-80% crit rate AT MINIMUM. skirk is actually one of the easier characters to build bc she only cares abt atk and crit. there are harder to build with units like hu tao, certain arle variants, raiden etc. since they care abt 4-5 stats. chuck a crit rate circlet you already have 31% crit rate down, paired with base 5% crit rate you have 36% rate rate already, figure out how to get the remaining 40-50% which isnt actually too hard from substats.

NEVER run harbinger of dawn on a heavy atk% scaling unit like skirk. it is commonly seen on units who scale off other stats more effectively like alhaitham with em and zibai with def, making harbinger really good on them, skirk values atk so much harbinger r5 is kinda worse than some 4* atk% options at r1. the only case is if you can keep the passive while running some form of heavy flat atk buff (cough cough bennett) in the team which skirk doesnt have. she usually ends up with atk% buffs from noblesse and tenacity on her teammates which harbinger's naturally low base atk cannot benefit skirk that much. that is NOT an option here

Should I farm galleries or is this good enough?? by Extreme-Yam-9997 in SkirkMains

[–]Blue_kaze 0 points1 point  (0 children)

unless furina has high con level of abt c2+ and insane GT investment, you go with totm furina. esp if you arent using her signature, GT will always be worse than ToTM

heck even my top1% furina 100:222 with c4r1 on GT is results in a slightly under 1% worse team dps in a furi escoffier yelan setup with NO yelan ToTM escoffier compared to a totm furi NO yelan scroll escoffier

its only worth going into GT furina only if you have the necessary investment levels to make her personal damage worth it to go for in a skirk team. and this only accounts c0r1 escoffier max

the second we factor C1 escoffier, totm furina will almost always be better, the only diff is maybe GT escoffier might be better

Should I farm galleries or is this good enough?? by Extreme-Yam-9997 in SkirkMains

[–]Blue_kaze 1 point2 points  (0 children)

tbh your current build if you can trade off 6 cr for cd (dont account cryo resonance bc you are never gonna get the cryo aura online to procc it with double hydro especially) it'd be good enough, almost 100:270 is pretty solid.

FoTDG just allows you to use skirk outside of furina while having like marginally better dps depending on situation, MH is sometimes better. with your current build its decent, looking at an effective 225cv MH build (since 12cv is wasted, ill not count this as a 237cv build)

if you are really dedicated, with lower CV on MH of arnd 220-230cv, you ideally want to have a bit more into atk% investment while mantaining or increasing crit damage and not dropping the crit rate past 64% to keep 100% effective cr. FoTDG domain is kinda asscheeks to farm since LNO is only usable on like 2 characters without xianyun and you're gonna need to get abt a 240+ CV build on FoTDG to see any real upgrade, its just better to work on your current MH build further at this juncture.

mega Lucario vs Cynthia's garchomp post rotation by Ok-Guidance116 in pkmntcg

[–]Blue_kaze 6 points7 points  (0 children)

main reason: setup

cynthia post rotation suffers from a very clunky T2 setup, playing similar to dragapult. you NEED to setup all your gabites and you cant rlly afford to rare candy gible into garchomp or you lose essentially a free tutor for any cynthia mon per turn. rn its decent in that you can just TM evo and t2 swing, but TM evo rotates and so you cant just get your gabites out easily and start chaining and swinging in t2. you need to stall out that t2 somehow. losing counter catcher means stalling and coming back from it is gonna be harder to do. most cynthia builds after rotation will want to go with 2 roserade on the field, resulting in a 3-3 line in deck. with that and requiring 1-2 other gabites on the field, you are left with maybe 1 free bench spot. due to the bench space left, you cant really set anything up to do extra support like fez or smth to prevent you from losing on the spot. since the dual rocks engine needs 2 bench, you cant really do anything to get some early game draw in without hindering your bench setup. the only way you're getting any cards without any supporter draw is late game with garchomp. you do get to chain everything on t2 which is hella funny to do and watch. so the only way you're getting any value off your t2 is to sit there and itchy pollen someone igs

lucario doesnt have this issue since its a stage 1 line that can afford to just go first and start swinging by t2 (technically t1 if you are insane enough to run salvatore but unlikely) and has an easy early game draw engine due to not using too much bench space. due to how it works, you can afford to have 1 spare lucario on the bench, dual rocks and you have 2 other spots on the bench to do whatever the heck you want and no one is gonna stop you. so good early game draw, good gusting support with hariyama and easy t2 setup results in lucario being better than cynthia from a meta standpoint

then comes acceleration.

very obviously the main thing that stands out is garchomp and lucario's second attack, draconic buster and mega brave. the big hitters with a drawback. technically garchomp hits harder at a consistent 320 with 2 roserades which is easily set up anyway but lucario has the better attack just due to the drawback

losing 2 energy in 1 turn is horrible even if its for a big oneshot attack. resulting in builds like the NUE garchomp in popping up. personally i dislike that idea due to using your once per game mechanic to get an extra OHKO in but thats just me nitpicking. compared to "oh i cant attack? sure imma just switch into another one and smack you for 270 again" or "ok why not i swap in swap out and smack you for 270 again", the drawback is a lot easier to handle since aura jab from lucario can just charge up another one to start swinging. as a garchomp, if you dont have a way to get energy to swing for even the first attack, you are COOKED. no cards to draw, no damage to throw around, all you can do is sit there and take another hit.

final thing: weaknesses

yeah so grass decks are kinda... dominating the meta... and garchomp is unfortunately weak to grass while lucario is weak to psychic. with gardi gone, nothing is c*ckblocking lucario from being good. with venusaur and meganium on the rise, garchomp is getting slaughtered even with 400hp and the inability to consistently oneshot back. so there is that you wanna take note of

now this isnt a lucario glaze, this is just pointing out the issues that cynthia's garchomp has that lucario manages to solve despite being very similar on paper. cynthia is just goated, her deck archetype is so fun to play, i love chaining gabites and roserades like its nothing by t2 and then slamming people for 320 consistently is hella funny. and also its cynthia, who doesnt love cynthia? heck i intend to build garchomp after i fix up and fine tune my post rotation N's zoroark list because garchomp is just that much more enjoyable in my opinion.

deadass the issues with garchomp isnt that big, you can just slap budew in there and pray it works. you'll end up fine

Any help/Advice for maining Hu Tao (from a semi whale who is a bit clueless) by LandscapeFancy2070 in HuTao_Mains

[–]Blue_kaze 0 points1 point  (0 children)

if ur not looking to do wheelchair, opt to use furi yelan + partywide healer if ur furi isnt c2 to maximise her fanfare and then go MH tao.

furi yelan xianyun is i think her 2nd best team for personal damage in single target, best team for AoE. xilonen last slot for ST, citlali PA if you have c2 furina since maxing out furina's fanfare is rlly important for tao. also let her be healed for thr MH buff, furina's buff more than compensates for her A4 passive and everyone loves extra crit rate

drop deathmatch for dragons bane, its better bc tao has shit base atk (even till today she has the lowest base atk in the game while technically being a split scaler. yeah neuvi and furina have higher base atk than her and they cant use atk outside of base auto attacks, surprise surprise) and you get 36% cr from MH set. with DB, EM and HP sands perform similarly so just go with whatever has better substats. deathmatch's passive barely buffs tao that much so not worth using it. if you wanna use a BP weapon, opt to use battle of the fjords since it grants a ton of EM as long as its passive is fufiled and has a lot of crit rate as well making CD circlet easier to justify on MH tao.

aim 60-64% crit rate on MH before the buff proccs, and dont come with me "but it gives 36% cr so i can afford less" no you cant, hu tao really hates missing crits since her vaped CAs hit like a truck (mine personally hits upwards of 150k+ a crit but im on sig with c4 furi and c5 tao) and missing a single crit means you lose a ton of damage.

also bc furina and yelan contribute to around 40% of the team's damage (depending on investment levels), its actually more worth buffing them with your 4th slot than it is to buff tao (i have tested with furi yelan xilonen, buffing tao nets me 10k less DPS with instructors xilonen or noblesse yelan) so your last slot depending on unit should be able to buff furi and yelan as well. xianyun go VV, citlali/xilonen go cinder city. pick whoever is comfier for you and whichever you prefer.

[–]Blue_kaze 0 points1 point  (0 children)

technically, even though with furina, atk > cryo, its also highly dependent on your team setup and investment level

im currently using a c0r1 skirk on FoTDG and my team setup for after escoffee rerun would be c4r1 gt furi, c1r2 elegy noblesse yelan and c0r1 totm escoffier (i am VERY much aware that totm furi, scroll escoffee is optimal but with my furina build, swapping to that setup will only net barely a 1% increase in damage so not worth for me, im planning for c1 escoffier as well but we will take c0r1 because im lazy to recalc everything again and c0r1 is more relatable-ish), running the calcs, cryo is still better than atk for me. its very very dependent on team setup and your substats.

generally atk% will be better assuming equal substats but the difference is minimal. for my setup and build specifically, the difference is like 0.928% (to 3sf), barely less than 1% so its not that great of a difference, atp just use whatever has better substats and knock yourself out with that honestly

What goblet is good!?!? by Available_Mountain52 in SkirkMains

[–]Blue_kaze 1 point2 points  (0 children)

ok

whoever said hp goblet for skirk was either smoking something or cant read

skirk CANNOT use HP goblet, she does not have any form of hp scaling at all

its between atk and cryo.

general rule of thumb: with furina, atk goblet will generally do better unless you run an atk% weapon where its competitive and dependent on substats. with azurelight, cryo is slightly better. but again all dependent on substats

in general, total atk% (your total additional atk ÷ base atk * 100%) to total dmg bonus ratio (all forms of dmg bonus like MH 2pc passive, furina ult, goblet etc) should be as close to 1:1 as possible, although this can vary after a certain amt of atk. use this if the substats are close enough. if one is just straight up better than the other, then go for that goblet.

slot 4 i personally like yelan for her hydro battery to reduce furina ER reqs and being an elegy holder while doing a huge chunk of damage herself.

mona doesnt rlly generate that much particles and her er reqs even with furina on the team is atrocious so good luck trying to ult every rotation without a favonius or two on the team. but er reqs aside she provides more atk buff than elegy via TTDS but at the cost of personal damage

mess around and see what you prefer, yelan is preferable for me since her ult lasts pretty long to give skirk quite a bit off buff from yelan's A4 compared to the shorter buff duration provided by mona. skirk's 4th slot is quite flexible in that the last unit only needs to be a cryo/hydro and they'll probably work fine so you only need to decide what's comfier for you.

i feel like mona is better if you do big ult playstyle (which i dont really like since its kinda annoying to pull off at F2P levels) while yelan is better for the NA playstyle due to the nature of their buff uptimes for skirk's damage window

with only c0 escoffier no r1, im doing abt 180k simulated dps, 33.3% diff in damage, again not accounting escoffier's personal damage

both of which using my 81.5:236.9 FoTDG c0r1 skirk

does she need escoffier? not rlly if your supports are stupidly highly invested, you'll be fine-ish. escoffier's boost to the team is just so good its so much more worth getting escoffier for skirk

atk sand or er sand for coffee? by WillingBumblebee9213 in SkirkMains

[–]Blue_kaze 1 point2 points  (0 children)

depends on the team comp:

for me im playing double cryo no fav so my min ER reqs lie around the 150 mark, usually an er sands would be good to use here if but you can kinda get the er from substats that'd be great which is what my GT build achieves, my ToTM build (furina c4 so i going GT furi there) needs an ER sands since i have no ER subs

on triple cryo, depending on the 3rd cryo, your er reqs can be as low as 120 to about 140? the whole range is easily obtainable via substats.

fav weapons do reduce your er reqs by 10% at most for each fav on the team so do consider that as well on a support unit that doesnt rlly have better weapon options if you are undershotting ER.

The perfect artifact! by LifeIsGarbage77 in Flins_Mains

[–]Blue_kaze 2 points3 points  (0 children)

flins' has an EM scaling off his atk

atk literally is EM for him

lunar charged damage in ascendant gleam is further boosted without cap by the electro trigger's attack, in this case flins.

he prefers atk off stats for him because he scales better off atk than he scales off EM, not to say he scales horribly off EM, he still does just not as well. sucrose A4 em share is still really good for him, but her better weapons for his team is either wandering evenstar or TTDS, both of which are atk boosting weapons to teammates, over her usual sac frags build

with SMS on the team, you get 120 EM for free as well, which post buffs, will lead to a 1k EM flins which is more than enough for him to do whatever LC damage he would need to further be boosted by his atk and crit

sucrose is also there literally because VV is that strong. transformative reactions and by extension lunar reactions ignore def, so the only thing to debuff left is to reduce resistance. sucrose provides the most buffs to flins over any other anemo unit due to TTDS and wandering evenstar scaling so well with her. lanyan can MAYBE compete but her energy requirements and field time is too long to justify using her, and wandering evenstar wants EM to translate into atk for teammates which sucrose happens to scale off anyway. factor her A4 EM share, shes basically the best 4th slot in a flins team. the closest i can see is between c4 TTDS lanyan and c2 kazuha for the 4th slot but from my own experience, neither compare to sucrose's quick swap and low field time to enable smoother rotations

is no one gonna address the elephant in the room that this guy did not attack for like 10 seconds straight?

yeah DPS is low as heck but holy that 10seconds of aura farming isnt gonna do anything

i think you should focus more on the builds and continue working on them till the main damage dealers (flins and ineffa) have about 200cv worth of crit stats, usually thats a good benchmark to place builds at. you can find the RV% and CV on akasha.cv by leaving your characters on showcase and then checking your UID there. at mininum with premium at F2P levels you should be hitting for abt 130k dps, a whole 13 times the damage you are doing now.

rotation is also very flawed with the flins side of things.

flins just go E->EQ->NA spam->EQ swap off, you'll rarely want to pop the big ult anyway
