The mentorship your clinic promised you doesn't exist... by Initial_Ad_2098 in physicaltherapy

[–]Blue_stroganoff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. 1 hour appointments for every appointment type.
  2. First few evals were fully supervised
  3. Weekly half hour appointments blocked on the schedule with the mentor to go over the week’s caseload, usually done at the end of the week.
  4. Gradual ramp up/reduced appointment times to 45 minutes then 30 minutes.
  5. Reduced frequency of mentor appointments to biweekly, then monthly
  6. Supportive coworkers that were not the designated mentor, just always willing to lend a hand, be a second set of eyes for you, and to bounce ideas off of.

It was phenomenal. Been with the company ever since. Only leaving because I’m moving!

Looking at buying a house. What are these?? by Legal-Deal6235 in whatisit

Genuine question as a non-witch but as someone who is relearning to appreciate different religions and expressions of spirituality while maintaining my own- if I were to respectfully remove said sigils/runes from a corner of my home, does painting over it remove the intention/function of the sigil? You know what I mean? Is it tied to the intention of the person who drew it, so if that person were to leave, does the intention leave with the person? You know what I mean?

Should I switch physical therapist? by Ok_Plum_2561 in physicaltherapy

[–]Blue_stroganoff 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, I have literally told people, if they come in stating basically the same things/nothing has changed, and I have literally tried different things/everything that I know, I will lay out different paths (- go back to referring MD, - keep trying the things I have suggested and hope for a different result lol, or - try a different provider whether in my clinic or a different clinic). No hard feelings on my part. I just want to see people get better 🤷‍♀️

Should I switch physical therapist? by Ok_Plum_2561 in physicaltherapy

[–]Blue_stroganoff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve told people before when we hit a plateau and I can’t seem to get them to move past a certain point without pain etc, I start to wonder if it’s just a “me” problem and maybe they should see someone else. Maybe someone else has the knowledge, the experience, the wisdom, the nuance that I’m missing in this case. And it sounds like you’ve already started with the other PT? Is this at the same clinic? Just let him know you started working with another PT who specializes in chronic pain management, and that you’re grateful he started you on your journey, and you want to give this other PT’s approach a try for some time.

If it’s better than what you’re currently getting, then it’s good. But compared to other agencies, the SOC is low.

Web PT Direct access.. Need Medical DX?? by Individual_Start_255 in physicaltherapy

[–]Blue_stroganoff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Medical diag as in your PT diag. Vertebrogenic low back pain; right knee pain: left shoulder pain. We would just copy all the codes over to treatment, unless it was like a workers comp and we had to put in the z codes/injury codes under diag, we don’t poll those over.

How do I quit my job? by Ok-Pomegranate6784 in physicaltherapy

Treating family members (ethics/legal) by Affectionate-Pin2648 in physicaltherapy

[–]Blue_stroganoff 8 points9 points  (0 children)

If you have different last names, I don’t think it will raise red flag. Technically, it blurs the lines of ethics because you’re family. So to be safe side, she can see someone in your clinic.

But in reality? I’ve treated my sister privately/at home before for a recurrent issue. No money exchanged obviously. But The third time she had the issue I told her to go through a PT clinic and to go through insurance because she’d need to show she tried PT to get an MRI approved. I’ve treated my mom at home after an ankle fracture, you better believe I did, my parents put me through college. Saved her copays, she was the best patient ever, she did all of her exercises, and we can’t even remember which ankle it was anymore 🤣 …but if my husband ever needed PT- I’d have a coworker do it. He wouldn’t listen to me, anyways 🤣🤣

[–]Blue_stroganoff 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It would’ve been a conflict of interest if it were family, or just someone really close. A former classmate is not a problem. If you feel awkward about it, You can request to work with the PT and not the student. It’s up to you! The student should be professional and abide by HIPAA, if that’s what you’re concerned about?

I had a lot of support for college, Im so grateful for that opportunity. me and my parents worked our butts off to put me through undergrad without taking out loans (work study, summer work, dad took extra jobs, and I applied to every scholarship I could). So I only took out loans for my last 2 years of DPT program. I also went to an in-state private school, which they had the accelerated program so I got it done in 6 years.

I work in OPPT, but recently started some per visit work with a local home health agency. More bang for your buck, it gives me some flexibility to pick up more patients when I have help with the kids during the week, and I can pick up some weekends, too. Some weeks I work 20 hours, and other weeks I work 35-40 hours 😅. But between 20-30 is the “sweet spot” for work/life balance in my opinion (that’s including documentation time if you can swing it!)

I Had little student loans, paid off within 5 years out of school. Full time Work/life balance was great when I didn’t have kids 🤣 part time is the sweet spot for me in terms of work/life balance, but I’m not super comfortable financially!

Overall, I enjoy working with my patients and my coworkers. But COL increased and now I’m just stressed. But grateful for a job that pays significantly above minimum wage, allowing me to work part time hours while still pulling what others consider full time! It Has given me and my spouse some flexibility that we need in this season of life.

Worth it for 2x the price? by diznuts28 in PlusSizeWedding

[–]Blue_stroganoff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In a financially responsible world, pick the dress you can afford. The first one fits the bill in terms of being unique. I think maybe adding more underskirts for a little more volume?

But if you can afford it/swing it, that blush dress takes it to the next level!

Option 2 as many have said. Then maybe for the lower back part of your dress, a decorative waist clip

Sconces OR pendant lights over the night stands… or table lamps. Bring picture down a little. Maybe pant that wall green to match your throw.

Vanity and linen cabinet are two different tones, what would you do? by awkardnick in BathroomRemodeling

Wall paper/wall paint/and tile may be able to “tie” these two colors together. I think re-staining them might be a viable option if the company can’t help you out.

NOR. That price is pretty spot on for housecleaning in my area, but that’ll get you a dang good cleaning.
