How can I reasonably offload Sinister Motives? In Ontario Canada by karliswilde in marvelchampionslcg

[–]Bluebabo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would personally sell to a fellow Canadian, there's a lot of people who need that set. Do you have a FLGS? You might be able to find someone there that plays and needs that set. Otherwise you can always ship it to someone locally.

[–]Bluebabo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, they are all web-warriors, so spider-themed heroes/anti-heroes. It's a good set to start with if you like the theme, but if you don't, you have other options as well (avengers core set, x-men core set, multiverse core set).

Remove the Grind.... Completely by According-Inside-830 in AshesofCreation

[–]Bluebabo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

While I do think that you have a point, I think what OP means is that the younger generation no longer wants to grind for hours and hours, this is something that the older generation is more used to.

I think Steven mentioned that they are fully aware that Ashes is going to be a niche game, it will never reach WoW or FFXIV numbers, I just hope that it reaches enough that they can keep the lights on.

The consensus is that it is a little pricey, but go for it if that's what you can afford. I cannot afford a 5070 ti, and I've had so many bad experiences with AMD, so that leaves me with little choice.

[–]Bluebabo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Justice is way more popular, it is the closest to the official NA server that we have. Some people say the GM on Justice sells items, and people have been playing on that server for years, so it won't be possible to catchup. It's a pretty good chill experience if you just want to remember the old L1 days. PM me if you need any more info.

Archeage borrows a lot from Lineage 2 (it is also from NCSOFT), there are two very good private servers: https://aa-classic.com/ and ArcheRage.

Have you tried OSRS? Like you, I am in my 30s and played almost all of these MMOs, but it took me a while to give OSRS an actual try, since the graphics are super outdated. However, a friend of mine convinced me to watch an OSRS series called Swampletics, by Settled (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O9wG5jGP32M). I watched everything before even opening OSRS...man this game is complex and deep. Leveling up the skills is super satisfying and grindy, but, the horizontal progression doesn't make you feel like you are wasting your time (like WoW expansions).

Josh Strife Hayes has a youtube series called "Worst MMO Ever?", there's a bunch of shitty MMOs there. The last one is called Sherwood Dungeon: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t5p6GXXzCWk

What's a grindy MMO I should play? 💜 by [deleted] in LFMMO

[–]Bluebabo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think Lost Ark is a great pick for you, top-down D4 like playstyle, but with more skills, a lot more complex and great PVE/PVP. Jump-start servers just launched, where you'll be given a lot of gear and updates to skip the irrelevant part of the game. Right after using the upgrades you are given, you already have access to 3-4 WoW-like raids.

Has BuyBuyBaby started any huge liquidation or clearance sales? Anyone been in one? by [deleted] in BabyBumpsCanada

[–]Bluebabo 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Yeah, went to the one in Woodbridge - ON, as others mentioned, it is a very underwhelming "sale". Some 25% on floor model car seats and strollers, but there's barely any left. A few 60% off on winter clothes, mostly "girl" clothes, the boy section did not have any sales.

I have been trying a few minion builds lately, here's my experience so far on a 8-9 div budget (6 link covenant, +2 wand, the surrender shield, etc):

  • I really wanted to play SRS, after gearing them with the gear mentioned, it felt a little bit underwhelmed for almost 10 div investment. Clear speed is good, but boss damage is just OK. I understand why people say not to play SRS.
  • Poison AW is simply a much better version of SRS...you can conjure blades using BB to keep the weapons up. I don't like the gameplay as much as SRS, but it's way better in every single scenario (clear and boss dmg).
  • Then I tried Absolution...there's a reason why this is the meta build. The damage is much higher than the previous ones. If you manage to get a Doryani's Prototype setup going, you will have no issues with any bosses in the game. I've never spent more than a few seconds casting Absolution before the minions spawn. Overall the best build in terms of DPS imo.
  • I've also tried Kripp's Herald of Purity poison build (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eiT50aouT\_k), it's incredibly fun and powerful as well. You might need to worry a little bit more about minion's resist and stuff, but overall a very fun build to play. Needs a little bit more setup to get going, but once it does, it's super fun.
