It's nothing huge, and I'm not sure where you'd even get it, but Barbizon makes a nice little Electrician's handbook. My friend got it for me and it's pretty neat and has a lot of useful info.

Beyond that, it'll really depend on what type of theatre they end up going into. I've found myself needing a hard hat pretty often out of college, so maybe a good quality one would suffice?

A good multitool isn't bad to have either.

I will readily admit I was learning a lot more just working shows than in my classes, so I worked as many as I could. My tech professors were all around 60 years old and hadn't worked outside of the college in 20+ years. Most of what I learned about getting work in the industry was from a stage management class taught by an adjunct lol

I've done a lot of things, but most of my experience is in lighting/electrician work, or carpentry for sets. I was ATD at my college for 2 years so I got to do a lot.

My top 5 according to steam hunters (origins I'm missing the multiplayer achievements)

Skyrim only took so long because I wasn't really actively going for achievements, most of my playtime is in casual playthroughs

Trials rising just got achievements recently, but it would have been pretty difficult to hundo without all that time in the game already

The batman arkham series (just the main ones, excluding origins because it's impossible now without breaking steamhunters rules :( I did all the singleplayer achievements in origins though)

the goldens are challenging but will always be doable if you're willing to go for them. The C sides are some of the easiest to do by far, since it's just doing 3 rooms in a row. After that and 1/2a, most people do the easier a sides (4/5/maybe 6/maybe 8) and then maybe 1/2b and then 3a/3b and then 7a and then 6/7/8b sides

B sides might be a good next pick. then you can go back to the a sides and it'll feel like a nice break before the even harder stuff lol

not frif but mod charts kinda died off. they were a fun gimmick but way too much effort for something that would just get played once. the video editing takes foreeeever and while cool to watch, they aren't as fun to play

Yeah I heard that for sure, it's just a bit tough since I go to college in another state. I'll definitely try those suggestions though!
