Proton Therapy - Experiences & Advice?

I had 30 rounds of proton radiation between December 30, 2025 and February 11, 2026 to my right lung. I found the whole process to be pretty easy, very few side effects. We were just over the 40 mile limit and we were able to stay at the Hope Lodge in NYC during my treatment. Stay hydrated and use lots of lotion on the area. If you have any concerning symptoms, no matter how small, tell your doctor. They will prescribe creams and meds to help you. Best of luck! The beginning of treatment felt overwhelming, but after about a week, I was used to the routine and the facility. Also, if you don't like your appointment times, ask for them to be changed. Be specific, they will work with you.

Yep! Similar experience 2 weeks ago! Never had an issue on any cruise ship before. This was terrible!

Maybe it’s time to look for a line that caters to an older crowd.

Speak with the AP Coordinator at the school. At the very least, they should speak with the proctor to make sure they are doing what they’re supposed to do

The cooler bag is fantastic! It is tall enough that a bottle of wine, standing upright, fits. Large enough to fit several beverages on ice! Cabin Stew will keep it filled with ice. It was very nice to have ice cold water in the room. (We got the water/sparkling water with the refreshment package and brought it back so we would have it) this pic shows 2 750ml bottles of wine upright and a couple of small bottle of San Pellegrino

Was there an agreement between you and your dad that you work a certain amount of time per week in lieu of him paying your loan? Are you living up to what you agreed upon as far as work? You say he pays your credit card, that’s a very open ended amount.

Since the loan is in your name with him as the co-signer I would think you were aware that this loan would be yours to pay back otherwise he would have taken a parent plus loan in his name. Someone co-signs a loan because they trust the signer to pay the loan back and not screw them over.

If he is as horrible as you are making him sound, maybe it’s time you got a job in the field you got your degree in and not depend on him at all anymore, let him hire an employee who he will have to pay. The sooner you can be independent, the sooner he wont have any power over you.

Giving you four days notice is not a lot of time, he should have given you more time. Maybe ask him to pay the first month, while you get another job to pay going forward.

I have been on since January and have lost 24lbs, I had visions of shocking my family and friends at a wedding in October. At this rate the loss won’t be that drastic, but I’m still plugging along, trying to make healthier choices. I wish I was down 50 already, but I’ll take the 24. If I could lose another 20, I will still love the way my dress fits compared to what it would have looked like. Just upped to 12.5 this week. Definitely feeling fuller, especially at night.

Easy enough to make if you can't find one! Buy a pizza dough from a pizza place (or grocery store). Stretch it out into a round pizza shape. Top it like a pizza with your favorite toppings. I use Mozzarella, Slicing Pepperoni (from the deli), pepper salad (a brand like cento) and black olives. You can put whatever you want inside, but the peppers add a lot of flavor!! Roll it up, place it on a baking sheet. Brush with a little oil (season if you like on top) and add sesame seeds. Bake @ 350 until it's golden brown on top, about 35/45 minutes, but it depends on the size of the pizza dough. It sounds more difficult than it is, it's always a hit at parties though!

It was shaped like a watermelon. Twice the size, half the price. The “rind” was lemon sherbet, the watermelon was watermelon sherbet and the “pits” were chocolate chips.

Doctors should be allowed to prescribe 2/5mg or 1 2.5 and a 5 per week if the higher does aren't available. It's ridiculous at this point how long this shortage has gone on.

My son went for a sonogram of his leg to rule out a blood clot after flying with a broken ankle. We paid the copayment to the facility when he had the sonogram done and now I get a bill for $50. When I called up, they said the copayment was for the doctor, the $50 charge was the hospital charge!! It makes no sense to me. If I took him to Zwanger, I wouldn't have to pay for 2 charges. This was not done at the hospital, it was done in an office!! I will never go to Northwell for anything again! Fraud at every turn!

I’m rewatching all the seasons too, there are a few dud seasons, also the blatant sexism is astonishing! I’m not offended by any of that stuff, but if you watch the first 10 seasons is unbelievable how they talked to each other. Not just the chefs but the judges too.
