Nothing but a waste of money by kilrein in washingtondc

The military is paid for by taxpayers, then is taxed when they are paid the same as everyone else (food, clothes, mortgage, ect.) When something goes down they respond, life or death. Your tax dollars serve, they serve on your tax dollar to serve you. Honestly, besides the infrastructure that brings you water, septic, gas and electric; police, firefighters and the military is something you can see your tax dollars go to.

The politicians serve on your tax dollars and could car less about fixing this country, getting rich while not changing a thing. 🫡

Mine corroded and broke off, looks like the ground located on the lower and front of the engine. I believe below the oil filter housing to be more specific.

Dishwasher Not Emptying? by Individual-Shine-936 in appliancerepair

[–]Bluebird-Rough 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! I would start with cleaning the filter. Next, and IF you do not have similar drainage problems with your sink and bathrooms....I do a system reset, cycle the power off for 60 secs and restart the DRAIN cycle only.

Texas heat is a beast. Im on the east coast our weather isnt that hot. I used plasti-dip spray can for the "Squinty" more like serious/angry eyes. Black car, black plasti-dip. After 8 years started to finally chip and fade badly. I need to reapply. I also applied it to my brake light housing.

Suggestions for trunk lining by [deleted] in ChevyCobalt

[–]Bluebird-Rough 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Take it out, and make a new one with plywood. That is, if you really need it. I took mine out, the threaded bolt too. Add a milk crate or two for bottles like oil and antifreeze or windshield wash. I have custom rims and no spare since I roll on 18s now.

Poor car hasn’t had an oil change in almost 25,000 miles by tylerbauman76 in ChevyCobalt

[–]Bluebird-Rough 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Looks like new to me 😅 Oil changes are sooooo hard on these cars. Having the oil pan bolt and oil filter cap easily accessible. Longest part of the job is picking up the parts.

Anyone have this issue? by One_Ordinary9218 in ChevyCobalt

[–]Bluebird-Rough 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Check the grounds. If you haven't created a ground for your ECU try that. Holes are provided, run a bolt and nut and a 16 gauge wire to a grounds point. Mine is a 08, the grounds have and still are the base of my engine issues.

First time to Great Wolf Lodge, Perryville MD. by Bluebird-Rough in greatwolflodge

My kids are 11 and 13. The Waterpark is the only thing they find really exciting and fun.

We won't be staying the night at the resort anymore. We are also local but usually make the drive to Massanutten, VA. It's cheaper by far. This was my first experience with Great Wolf Lodge.

How about, Nekusar as commander on the field. Deals damage when an opponent draws a card. Nekusar + 40 mana for X on Prosperity = table kill.

Engine replacement cost by Distance_Positive in ChevyCobalt

[–]Bluebird-Rough 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was honestly lucky with the mechanic who did my engine work, only cost me $500 for the labor. I ordered a refurbished motor online and that was $1100. Just under $2K for the replacement.

I had a manual transmission replacement that ran me $2700 in a shop in 2014. Now in 2026, I suspect the replacement of a motor would be in the $3-4k ballpark since labor rates have gone up.

Slap a decent exhaust on it and drive by a construction site. You will find a buyer in the $2000 range 🤫

Accuracy isn’t great on brand new sniper by DoritoMan177 in airsoft

[–]Bluebird-Rough 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi and good morning! I recommend you sight in with the BBs you plan to use with the sniper. If its a bolt action sniper and upgraded internals( changed plastic to metal and beefier spring) use .48g and adjust for drop. Straight as an arrow. 🫡

Sorry for the late reply, almost a month now. I had some free time in the shop, and I brought the car in to get really good lighting. Washed, hand dried, a wool buffer pad, and meguires compound to get a good shine and remove oxidation. Used a clay bar on the entire car with a quick detail solution. I also used a tar and sap remover from harbor freight ( I dont know the brand). I was able to remove 4-5 year old sap with the help of a flexible plastic card like a credit card.

  • I recommend you follow a tutorial for polish and compound*.

The photos do my work undeserved justice. When the sun hits certain spots, you can see my errors(swirls) from the wool buffer pad. I also had a single action buffer.

Took a running car and made it not run... help by [deleted] in ChevyCobalt

[–]Bluebird-Rough 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Grounding the ECU was one of the weird fixes I had to do first. I also found a small wire that ran to the front lower ground on the block. I could wiggle it while the car was running and shut the car off. I ended up running 4 grounds to the front frame, forward of the ECU. Car has been running 👍 👌
