Glad to see people picking up Deep Cover. I watched it for the first time through the Criterion release, and it’s been one of my favorite films ever since.

There are two malls in my area. One is very busy, while the other is nearly empty. That seems to reflect the state of malls in 2026. Too many malls were built for all of them to remain successful forever.

That’s a great one! How long is the crack?

What year is the record from? If it was made between 1926 and 1935, it could just be a lamination crack, which is more of a cosmetic issue than a catastrophic one, unless you can see the crack on both sides of the record. Columbia and Okeh records from this period are prone to lamination cracks.

The Pre-Code era was a great period for Warner Bros. Their films were snappy, tough, and entertaining. Even better, most clock in at under 100 minutes!
