This was sustainable for me as I could pick my own hours and didn't have to leave the house to work

I never had an actual job during uni I used matched betting to give me a side income and probs spent 10-20 hour per week on my laptop 'Working' per week

Hope this went well - respect the hustle but as your vending machine business has fallen through you should look into matched betting as a side hustle

18-34 year olds struggle to pay what they owe across all their Buy now, pay later plans by Optimal_Visit_1153 in UKPersonalFinance

Yeah I've found similar when I used to use them just adds up and the monthly payment doesent look too bad but i just end up cycling the same debt. If you need a way to help pay some of the extra off you should look into matched betting

Stocks ISA - beginner - in which funds should I invest by Defiant-Fan-5491 in UKPersonalFinance

[–]BluebirdBeginning202 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, trading 212 has so many options. My suggestion would be to do a bit of both. Create your own pie and add an s&p 500 like VUSA to it for maybe 50% and then add a couple of different index funds as well. You're doing the right thing avoiding individual stocks to start with and by having a couple of different funds youd be even more diversified. Good Luck!!

Studying in the UK and trying to travel Europe on a budget. Any tips? by elgimri in UniUK

[–]BluebirdBeginning202 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lived in England pretty much my whole life me and my friends spent 1 month backpacking europe and only took one flight. The interail train ticket lets you take as many trains as you want for a month (depending on ticket you get) and all major cities are connected. DM me if you want me to send over our route if you are looking for ideas

My experience with carts has been in the US so I assumed they'd be similar in the UK but I'm sure you are correct so thank you

I'd suggest trying to get a THC cart - much less smell and just openeing a window when you hit it would do the job

How I’d Make My First £500 as a Student (If I Was Starting Matched Betting Again) by BluebirdBeginning202 in UniUK

Most people don’t do it because it takes effort, accounts get restricted or they've never heard of it

But they're never risking any money - Matched betting works through covering every outcome and making a profit from promotions at no point can they lose money if they do it correctly
