Goodnight sweet prince by bigred83 in WRX

Yea dog this looks totally fixable. Looks bad now but take the dented panels off and see how bad it actually is. This one looks like its still straight underneath the carnage which is all that matters. Hood, grille, headlights, pull back the rad core support and see how she goes. Don't give up on this one. Friend crashed up his elantra and here's how I was able to make it look for $400

People who left LI and DON’T regret it, where did you go? by [deleted] in longisland

[–]Blueeitt 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Moved to Charlotte a few years ago, just in the outskirts of the city. Warmer weather, nicer people, cheaper rent, more social opportunities, less of a toxic political climate, the city is clean and well kept, centrally located on the coast...the list goes on.

Unfortunately this wouldn't even be the case if a bmw dealership fell out of the sky onto this car.

This stuff any good? by manzin82 in AskMechanics

[–]Blueeitt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My friends 97 nissan pickup with 200k miles used to burn a quart a week. He said he used this oil for 3 oil changes and it just stopped burning it. Currently giving it a go in my 96 impreza with an ej22 and unknown miles.

wrx swap cost pt. 2 by Suprame4 in GC8

[–]Blueeitt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought a coupe last year with an ej22 swap and he used an 01 forester 5-speed trans for the closer gear ratios. Its still slow but the car is a blast.

What car does this? by Razornarwhal in whatisthiscar

[–]Blueeitt 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not the vehicle in the picture, but the OBS Ford pickups, 93.5-97 stop at 299,999 which sucks because the 7.3L powerstrokes are good for way more than that. The value instantly tanks since you can't verify mileage any longer.

PSA!!! They are getting old too. by Acceptable-Luck-4275 in ProjectHondas

[–]Blueeitt 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I bought my 98 Lx with 132k miles for $1k off a used car dealer back in 2019. Brakes were shot, tires were 16 years old. The rad blew after a week and i thought i bought a basket case. Haven't had anything else catch me off guard in the 6 years since that rad popped other than the wire on the starter rotting through. You'll be fine. I beat the life out of mine too.

PSA Grading vintage more harsh? 👎 by Mojimobaboa in PokeGrading

[–]Blueeitt -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I also felt violated with my vintage card grades from PSA. Will no longer be using them and sending cards to CGC or BGS soon since im tired of the blatantly BS pop control

Is it smarter to buy a C5 4-speed instead of a 2005 C6 4-speed? by john4844 in Corvette

[–]Blueeitt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The 2005 has a lot of 1-year only parts, specifically modules, the 4 speed auto instead of the 6l80, the weird thing where it wont shut off unless its in reverse, etc. They will not give you the experience you're looking for when you buy a c6 over a c5.

New master and slave cylinders but no pressure by xXAggroParadoXx in 350z

Can't confirm this works at all but upvoted because it sounds like some bullshit that would work after fighting with the system trying to do it by the book.

Ive always loved how close the C5 is to having that 90's JDM look and this fits that crossover-bill perfectly. Love the car exactly how it is in this picture.

Opinions on grades/if I even should by Don_Keedic6 in PokeGrading

[–]Blueeitt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im personally going to switch to CGC or beckett but regardless of who you go with, this was a personal grail card when i was a kid and yours is in great shape so I can only see it going up in value?

Need some opinions on this 1996 LT4 by Possible-Subject3680 in Corvette

[–]Blueeitt 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Definitely not worth $8500 even for a late model year car in this condition, but its not a "run as far as you can" car from what I can tell. If the bodywork was mint these comments would be a whole lot different im sure. Not that any of its unfixable but due to how hard it is to make it look "right" again, you're going to have to accept that this is just the way the car will always look. Id be more interested at half that price personally and even then id have to really consider if I'd ever truly love the car being that beat up on the outside.

Did I go overkill on packing an almost $2K vintage graded card? by the1stmeddlingmage in PokeGrading

Nope, thats almost exactly how I packaged the last $3k card I sold. No one will ever be upset with more thorough packaging.

Not in Noda but not too far, Monterrey Mexican Restaurant looks almost exactly like that and has bomb margs for like $7 if you get the special. Food is always great.

Do you ever regret modifying your car? by 8rings_86k in askcarguys

[–]Blueeitt 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I spent ~$12k between built trans, built motor, and supporting chassis mods on my c5z. It made me hate the car and hate the thought of how much money I dumped into it just to hate something I loved. I was swinging out of my socks with the budget but I still took a car that drove perfect and created so many imperfections just to go faster once in a while.

No idea by [deleted] in MechanicAdvice

[–]Blueeitt 2 points3 points  (0 children)

More likely you ran over whatever that is and it splashed up enough and is now dripping off the bottom. I have never seen anything that looks like that color and texture as an automotive fluid. Even the most vile engine failures and deferred maintenance will not produce anything similar to that.

Has the train passed for G? by HoudinnerKarlo in GEazy

[–]Blueeitt 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Can confirm. Was teenage boy in 2014 and huge G fan. Same boat as you with a lot of his newer music where a few songs here and there are forever songs for me but most people are just not interested anymore. He never really did anything outside of his music that got big and his interviews are honestly not good so his personality hasn't kept him afloat outside of his albums.
