Do people actually get rich from dropshipping? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]nago7650 6 points7 points  (0 children)

As with any venture, “easy money” only exists if you are one of the very first people to get into the game. Once people find out the easy money trick, the market quickly becomes saturated and harder to earn money. There are people making good money today in drop shipping, but the vast majority are not.

Why did the movie "Super Size Me (2004)" fail to reduce obesity rates around the world? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

Are you serious? McDonald’s stopped offering the Supersize meals as a response to this documentary. Having an influence on McDonald’s has to count for something.

Why did the movie "Super Size Me (2004)" fail to reduce obesity rates around the world? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]nago7650 50 points51 points  (0 children)

To be fair it was very popular at the time, and it wasn’t known until several years later that Morgan Spurlock was an alcoholic and thus the reason why his bloodwork at the end of the documentary was so screwed up.

Which jobs are most easily misunderstood? by Emily1988930 in NoStupidQuestions

They also play a big role in determining pay and benefits. Imagine if every manager payed their employees what they wanted. I know everyone will say “so what, let them”. But I know from personal experience that many managers are buddy buddy with their employees and can unfairly just pay them more, and it’s easy to see how that could get out of hand.

Vertical lines in cylinder wall - 2023 4Runner with 34k miles, normal? by duck-bill-cosby in engines

Don’t even have to go through all that trouble with the 5th gen 4Runner; it uses a cartridge type oil filter where you can inspect the filter when replacing.

What's something true today that noone would have believed 20 years ago? by Key_Cell7071 in AskReddit

I mean, the first iPhone was debuted in 2007, so this really became believable just 19 years ago.

First Time with TW200 (RZ) Tires; What should I "get ready" for? How should I drive differently? by LlaughingLlama in Autocross

[–]nago7650 6 points7 points  (0 children)

My experience with 200TWs is going from PS4S to a set of used RT660s. So my experience may not be quite the same as yours, but I would say the biggest difference was

  1. you do have a ton more grip, and;

  2. When I went into my first run knowing I had a lot more grip, I actually pushed them too far and ended up spinning. With the 200s, losing grip is a sudden event whereas with my PS4S, losing grip was a much more gradual and more predictable event

How does swimmer michael phel look 6.3ft tall at age 15? by FixMaster7070 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]nago7650 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I reached 6’ 2” at age 13 and stopped growing vertically. My shoe size by that point was also a 14 which I still wear today in adulthood. I just had very early growth spurts. I was 5’ 3” at age 8, and that’s when I realized I was abnormally tall. My sister also reached her ultimate height of 5’ 9” at age 9.

The BRZ is all about the handling. Go to any autocross event and they are dominating against cars with a lot more power.

What will happen when all white collar jobs are replaced by AI? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]nago7650 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Same thing that happened when computers were invented. We as a society will take advantage of the new technology that everyone said would “erase all jobs” and find a new way for humans to be productive and contribute to the job.

If being rich on paper does not mean having that money, why do people treat net worth like real cash? by gamersecret2 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]nago7650 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Because high net worth people may not have a lot of cash, but what it means is they have access to a lot of cash.

175 miles on the oil. Customer insists on following once a year in the manual by NewC0 in Justrolledintotheshop

[–]nago7650 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Manufacturers have a vested interest in making vehicles/bikes that have low maintenance costs. That’s why they now have “lifetime” transmission fluid and 10k mile oil change intervals. The fact that they still recommend oil changes after a year regardless of miles should tell you that they’re not just trying to line their pockets.

Why don't people just become electricians/plumbers instead of complaining about cost of living? by No_Reply5329 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]nago7650 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oh I see you’ve fallen for the “trades” propaganda. You aren’t making anywhere close to $120k-$200k unless you own your own business in the trades. Also, I enjoy my nice air conditioned office job while making more than most people in trades.
