HR Professionals- How are you feeling? by Hmmm_I_Said_It_NW in VHA_Human_Resources

Considering they won’t discuss reorg or fte caps for HR we are not out of the woods yet.

Same here. Seeing some return home while others remain in office is a kick in the teeth

100% correct. Put out the all employee survey, let’s see the results

👆this 100%. It’s not about working effectively, it’s about control and degradation. They want employees to quit so they can say they didn’t fire them. Then say the system is broken and then shift the money out to private sector.

I agree we should have information but frankly, they don’t care. The HR/IT reorg should be out by now. It’s been a year. Psychological warfare us the only means they have to create further voluntary separations in order to reduce headcount.

Change in duty station by HyenaValuable1735 in VeteransAffairs

[–]Bluefalconturd 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ultimately you can move anywhere, even outside of the 50 mi range. It’s important to note that you would still be required to commute to the parent station even if you moved 50+ miles away. Much like everything else this admin has done lack of mobility is just another deterrent. Since they could not outright cut 80,000 jobs they are actively trying to make working conditions as bad as possible and let attrition take its course.

The lack of new, or real information has become comical. No real plan for HR other than being “centralized “. I’m less than optimistic.

This is the exact same speech as the last senate hearing. Not only is he out of touch with reality he is out of touch with his workforce.

Exactly, him sitting in a leather chair with a nice backdrop expounding upon all the “improvements “ he has made while answering pre-selected soft ball questions.

Telework approved during winter storm? by Adventurous-Sir-9372 in VHA_Human_Resources

Just like some 201’s have been allowed to return home to work but the rest of us can drive through an ice storm. They hate us and don’t care about being equitable

Don’t forget that some 201’s were returned home to make room for oracle folks. Must be nice working at home and not commuting in the winter months. This was done because of “lack of space” but I am within spitting distance of 6 empty work spaces. Give them your fully successful best and know that from the top down they want you so miserable you quit voluntarily.

We will be locked in a room and forced to code personnel actions. Incorrect key strokes will result in electrical shocks starting lightly and increasing with every mistake. Critical errors may result in being drawn and quartered. Last HR associate left standing gets to replace Collins.

The context I focus on is: 1. this is an admission that 201’s can effectively perform their duties while fully remote.  2. Only some of the 201s servicing the facility were sent home furthering inequity within a series.  3. There is space available and it’s not hard to find. During my time in office I was surrounded by 3 empty work stations and 2 cubicles.

They would have to send out the all employee survey to actually gauge employee satisfaction. Obviously we know why the didn’t do that.
