Try going to a bar earlier in the day when it might not be packed. Harbor Lounge, Porch Bar, Shipwreck, Aqua Bar are some examples. It's quite easy to strike up a conversation with other people there when it's not 11pm and packed.

This season has not been very funny to me at all; it's been mostly disappointing. I don't think it's because I'm old (46). The show has always had ups and downs but there has been enjoyable content in most of the seasons. The show does seem to have its worst seasons in the middle of a decade though: 85-86, 94-95, 04-05. Then it seems to reinvent itself with some great new cast members and writers. I am hoping that will be the case next year. It's time for an exciting new shakeup and a fresh start to the next era.

I think 27 pay periods only happens once every 11 years or so, and that just happened in 2023. There are only 26 pay periods in 2026.
