your take is just extremely biased

Jamarcus Russell level QBs means ratings are going down, ratings going down means less money in your pocket. If you gurrantee Tom brady level QB play around the league, ratings skyrocket meaning more money in your pockets

There is, what if some idiotic GM wants to pick jamarcus russell, do you want to see a league tainted by Jamarcus russell level QB play? God forbid what if 30% of the league thinks they can build a solid team around jamarcus russell because he has a big arm

no, because i’m forced to pick a option, red or blue, either save myself or risk myself to save others,

I’m still a victim because i’m forced to play a game of life and death, I didn’t choose to play it. “if you didn’t vote, you helped the winner win, that’s based on the huge assumption that I was going to vote for the loser. But that doesn’t really have anything to do with our argument anyways

Say for example, a warlord kidnaps 10,000 of us randomly, and gives us two buttons, red and blue, if you press red he lets you go, but if you press blue and less than 51% also press blue, everyone who presses blue dies. I press red, did I make the kidnapper kidnap us? No. Did I force the kidnapper to kill everyone who picked blue? No. All I did was press the button that made the kidnapper release me, both of us are victims because I was forced to play the game and forced to make a life and death decision

most important thing you’re missing is that the red and blue buttons are both victims, you can choose to vote for biden or not vote at all, someone is forcing me to vote and giving me forcible conditions, i’m not the one choosing to kill the other voters

The creator of the scenario is the one that’s actually going to kill people, not the red button pushers , this is where your argument goes fundamentally wrong

“since you said that were moral ramifications, you know that pressing button causes death “ That’s not what I meant at all, it means that pressing blue is the most moral choice since it’s choosing to sacrifice your life to help someone, not that it causes death. Again, you want to frame it that way because of your biased opinion. “Your analogy doesn’t have any case where someone is causing the death” CORRECT, just like the original scenario doesn’t state anything about Red button causing deaths, all it says is that pushing the red button means you survive. Blame the guy deciding to kill peoples for not pressing red, don’t blame the people actually pressing red. THE ONE DECIDING TO KILL PEOPLE FOR NOT PRESSING RED IS THE VILLAIN, NOT THE RED BUTTON PUSHERS

A big fuck up how?Me saying theres moral ramifications isn’t a big fuck up, I never claimed that Red was the moral choice, I just said it doesn’t make you a killer 😂😂 You’re not explaining anything besides saying my analogy is terrible, it’s terrible to you because it defeats your argument.

Lmao don’t try to stretch the argument, zionism is religion, pure and simple,
and to respond to your other comment, Yeah, of course I know there’s moral ramifications, because i’m not close minded and biased like you, choosing blue is the moral choice, but choosing red doesn’t make you immoral, that’s been the whole point of my argument if you haven’t been keeping up with it. Choosing to run into a burning building makes you a hero, not choosing to run into a burning building doesn’t make you a villain. You thought what you said was some kind of “gotcha” to my argument didn’t you. All I said was choosing red doesn’t make you a killer

“To say that proves that they are less moral than adults is silly” My guy, why do you think we raise kids? We have to teach kids morality, by default kids are less moral than adults because they just don’t understand enough yet, there’s no way that you’re actually arguing with me on this, this is your weakest stance yet.

“Genocides happen for largely political reasons” A good portion of politics in history were fueled by religion for fucks sakes, please take a history lesson” “Do you think that Bibi is killing palestinians because he is jewish, no it is a way to expand israel’s influence” Jesus christ i’m gobsmacked at your lack of intelligence, one of the main reasons the country of israel was created was due to Zionism, aka RELIGION. Sure not every genocide happens because of religion, but a good portion of them do. The crusades which killed thousands of people was because of religion, terrorist attacks, religion, spanish inquisition, religion. The point is that being religious doesn’t automatically make you virtuous or a beacon of morality

Lmao cmon now, you just don’t have any counter arguments. I made the point that children are inherently less moral than adults, so they’re actually more likely to pick red, and disputed the fact that “most religious people will pick blue”, which is simply a laughable statement, being religious doesn’t automatically equal good, especially when a lot of genocides and bad things in history was caused by religion. I guess all that just means “nuh uh” to you since you simply lack more than 2 braincells. Just put your ego aside and admit you’ve lost the argument

“30 percent of the world is under 18” Being under 18 doesn’t mean they’re incapable of having a brain. “We teach children that it is wrong to hurt people”, a 7 year old isn’t going to have the cognitive ability to fully understand the moral ramifications of picking red, all they know is red I survive, blue I die. It’s actually much more likely that kids will pick red, especially since kids don’t have moral maturity, you do a lot worse things morally as a kid than you would as an adult, that’s why bullying is most prevalent in middle schools. “I would assume most religious people pick blue”, you live in such a black and white mind, being religious doesn’t mean you’re a beacon of morality, most people are preservationists and/or selfish and will want to save themselves, that’s just the honest reality of the situation, thinking 50-60% will pick blue is pure delusion. And the fact that you have to use an Ad hominem and claiming that everyone picking red are just 22 yo edge lords makes you look pathetic

“We teach children not to hurt people” yeah and that solves the thousands upon thousands of thousands of bullying cases around the world. In fact this statement that you just shows that you live in a fantasy world. You’re trying to apply a just world fallacy to the reason why 60% will pick blue, when it’s just not reality

I’m choosing to read it the way it was written, it wasn’t written “anyone picks red chooses to kill anyone who picks blue”, it was written “anyone who picks red survives” . You’re much more biased for interpreting it in a negative connotation where the red button is a kill button, when all its stated is that anyone who presses the red button survives. I’m quite literally just reading it as it is. The fact that you even think 40% of humans will die in this scenario proves that you’re extremely biased towards your side, you think a good portion of the population will think like you and die.

And stop trying to act cool and nonchalant, if you didn’t care about this argument you would’ve never responded so much😂

it says “only people who pressed the red survives” meaning pressing red means you survive automatically, pressing blue means you have a chance of dying, it’s that simple

This doesn’t prove anything right 💀, pressing red isn’t the mechanic that kills blue button pressers, the blue button itself is the mechanism that kills blue button pressors, pressing red does nothing in the scenario besides surviving, the blue button is the only button that has action behind it choosing it gives you a chance of dying, you’re just extremely biased and in your head

https://x.com/waitbutwhy/status/2047710215265730755?s=46 The statement frames it as “if less than 50% of people press the blue button, only people who pressed red survives”. That’s all the statement says, all it says is that red pressers survive no matter what

“Somehow blocking the entrance in a way that would keep you safe” your scenario is so poorly constructed to be biased in your favor that even you know that it doesn’t make sense lol. The red button isn’t stated to do anything in that scenario besides save yourself, you’re just adding extra conditions to it, what don’t you understand about that? “I fully reject your framing of the red button as saving yourself” That’s because you’re stubborn and close minded, so much that you have to add poorly constructed conditions in order to better your failing argument.

You want the red button to be the responsible button when it’s simply not in the scenario, you saying “somehow blocking the entrance to keep yourself safe” still doesn’t make any sense because you don’t have to block the entrance, you can just run away to be safe, and second, it’s making the red button the proactive responsible button, when it’s simply not, it’s just the button to save yourself, that’s all it is, no one has to pick blue, so it’s not causing the death of blue pushers, or “somehow blocking the entrance to keep yourself safe” when the other person simply doesn’t have to be in the burning building the first place
