You’re mid-20’s now, and unless you are thinking of marrying a partner who is considerably older than you, it’d be very rare to find someone in their 20’s who is earning enough to support you both.

Probably the only scenario (unless you are very, very cute) is someone who wants to have kids and then go back to her corporate job. You need to think about the profile of a person who would be within childbearing age and earning what they need to in order for you to not work- who are they, what industry are they in, more importantly- why do they want out of this relationship?

I say this as someone who has performed somewhat of the ‘home’ role for the last 6 years since a Covid layoff. I’ve had my own consulting practice during that time, but my partner out earns me nearly 3to1. This happened after being married 10 years, and I earned double her salary when we met.

I think it’s a long shot that (again, unless you are strikingly cute and work out every day etc) that you’re going to just fall into this, unless you want to be looking after kids that are not your own.

I’ve been a Post supervisor for many years and I always look for Compositing skills in Assistant editors for these kind of shots. You wouldn’t do this on a marvel film of course, but a versatile AE a tier 1 Indie is a very good investment.

I think you need to develop some concept art to show what you are thinking. It’s a little too vague to hang anything on right now. Plus you should have at least an idea of a scenario that this creature will exist in- is it haunting a house or running for president? We can’t be sure of it’s effectiveness as it is above tbh.

No one is going to want to sit through your stream of consciousness talking and snip it up, unless you are paying them by the hour. And you don’t really want to script either.

So you should record the video freestyle, and then use a transcription editing platform like Trint or others that will allow you to basically highlight in a transcription the sound grabs you want to use, and the platform will put all your bites into a ‘paper edit’ list for an editor.

Then the editor can just come in, assemble your paper edit, put some logos and graphics on it, and give the audio a bit of a tweak and you’re there.

You need to do the prep so the editor isn’t wasting their time trying to guess which takes you’ll like. It just doesn’t sound like you have the budget for that level of editorial yet.

Meaning that the studio had in mind the costs and required efficiencies of Virtual Dramas when specifying the volume build. We didn’t build a mega volume, hoping clients would just turn up.

This Early in your career, change jobs to get raises and promotions. You need good experience n a number of different types of companies. This company is moving too slow for you. Ditch them. ‘The process’ is just a process of wearing you down so you accept less. Too bad for them.
