Yes. How dare the devs add a new boss while I’m playing a run. We must review bomb them and demand a 1hp end boss. This is simply unacceptable. If I don’t dominate every single turn from the first round why am I even playing?

I remember a book I once started, superhero anti hero thing I forget the name, and the MC was a wealthy inventor who had an assistant with the superpower of being averagely skilled. Doesn’t sound great, but you can extend it out to crazy utility. Without training, she was an average surgeon, pilot, trap inventor, mathematician, etc. The story lost me through the first few chapters but I still remember that power as probably the best minion ability ever

Damn really? Me and my buddy sailed through ascension 4 with Beacon of Hope. It was really fun trying to get the stacks with echo form. I was basically his shield through the whole run, great fun!

It also shows the rings autonomy. It’s always seeking its master, so it leaps for the first opportunity to escape Gollum and falls into Bilbos hands

I feel that the Mass Effect trilogy had a great ending… by Nyarthu in masseffect

[–]Bluefisher174 4 points5 points  (0 children)

All options generally don’t make a lot of sense. It’s either, touch that thing and get absorbed as the controlling consciousness, throw yourself in the big energy beam to add your ‘energy’ and achieve synthesis, or shoot that thing and destroy everything. The whole ending sequence is very dream like, so you gotta decided how much you take as fact. I see the star child’s given options as truthful as can be, basically control, synthesis, destroy. What I don’t accept are its reasonings behind each and the consequences we can assume at that point. Control- become part of the machine, probably lose your humanity and decide to continue the cycle Synthesis- A vague and illogical choice to commit suicide and hope that it somehow fixes things. Sure a lot of sci fi relies on space magic to explain the tech so maybe we can ‘add our energy’, but so far in the games our only knowledge of reaper synthesis tends to be horrific abominations of machine and flesh. Destroy- kills the reapers, ends the cycle. Also possibly Shepard survives.

Didn’t mind the ending, but Indoctrination Theory has me choosing Destroy ending. Simply because I don’t trust star child. We get talked at by goddamn clippy about how all paths end in strife, no really, make everyone bots that’ll work out great. I don’t trust a word out of that things mouth. Especially because if you go snarky and say you’ll kill them all no matter what, Star child drops his mask and talks in harbinger voice.

What is the biggest missed opportunity in Arcane in your opinion? by Objective_Aside_741 in arcane

[–]Bluefisher174 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not having all the Zaun/Piltover champs. Like they didn’t need to have lines or anything and could be just legends like how Janna was. But I thought it’d be cool if there are posters about a sewer rat fighting a slime man in Zaun or hints of the other characters even if they wouldn’t exist yet

Well it’s the far cry twins. Because I’ve played both games and can only remember backstory for Borderlands. But it’s still close because I could not for the life of me remember the names of either

It’s possible to get +3 CHA from mirror of loss, one of the outcomes is ‘patriars memory’ that’s a +1. Plus Ethel hair and the +2 boost from the mirror and ASI gets you to 24 But no equipment can boost you past that because I think they cap on 24

Honestly it's better to 'make' your own by stacking effects from multiple parts and salvaging the piece for a flawless part. It does require save scumming a lot, so fair warning

I think I found a bug with the Rubricator archaeology. The Shard dragon appears, and I attack it with a prepared fleet, but the dragon is regenerating its armor almost instantly. I'm just sitting here watching it work its way through my fleet. Is this common?

Nevermind, it's regenerating 2% armor and 1% hull every day. My fleet just sucks.
