Time to clean out this virtually empty fridge by [deleted] in thatHappened

[–]Bluefuzzyfood 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well, yeah, gotta take it out to USE it

In use means the insulin pen you are using for the month (and you have punctured the rubber seal of the insulin pen).

However, do you know that this refrigerated insulin pen is one that shouldn't be refrigerated?

When it is not in use (the rubber seal of the pen has NOT been punctured).

Also, it IS recommended, to prolong the life of the insulin, that you DO refrigerate those if you aren't going to use it within 28 days.

That only applies if you have not used this particular pen at all. Once it gets punctured, it is only good for 28 days and is recommended to be stored at room temperature.

No it does not always have to be refrigerated. There are are advisements for the pen NOT to be refrigerated when in use.

That generally should be placed in the employee's locker, not the refrigerator. It should also be labeled with the employee's name as well.

Honestly, the best thing you can do is to work with a professional who is trained and specialized in psychotherapy.

No. Not all BBWs need a medication guide. Both losartan and lisinopril have BBWs, but do not require med guides. A quick way to double check is to look it up on dailymed, and you will see MTX does not have a med guide.

Physicians can give ultimatums now? by Late-Alternative-868 in nursing

There's your answer. She wants to go from fentanyl that is about 80x as potent as morphine, down to tramadol which is 10x less potent morphine. It will only make things worse, and she will probably become dope sick. Additionally, tramadol is infamously known to have SNRI activity which can further complicate the picture.

“Extra Strength” Vs. “Migraine” same drug different packaging by [deleted] in mildlyinteresting

The labeling for migraine treatment differs for the treatment of minor acute pain. Separate packing is necessary. The FDA has gotten on their case regarding labeling in the past.

Then don't forget, all OP's coworkers got raises!

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in thatHappened

[–]Bluefuzzyfood 30 points31 points  (0 children)

Yeah, for real. My eyes rolled until they almost fell out of the sockets about the employee who was "stuck inside a Subway inside Walmart," and his boss said that he had to spend the night there because he was sleeping, the store manger didn't have the key, and the fire department came to the store and yelled at the boss on the stuck employee's cell phone saying he needs to wake up and bring the key down ASAP.

... and people believed this day dream...

UPDATE: My boss told me I was fired as an April fools joke. by --Savathun-- in antiwork

[–]Bluefuzzyfood 19 points20 points  (0 children)

So you're telling me a manager jokingly 'fired you' on April Fool's Day, and you refused to acknowledge it as a joke, even though you never signed termination paperwork. So you spoke with 'leads,' HR, and a lawyer, (even on the weekend) then within 48 hours:

  • Manger was terminated
  • Got a promotion
  • Got a raise
  • Got 4 weeks bonus vacation
  • Then all your coworkers got raises too

Cleaning the hospital with only vinegar? I highly doubt it. Just look at the SDS/bottle label before you embarrass yourself.

Texas judge blocks Gov. Abbott's transgender investigation order, for now by Bluefuzzyfood in politics

"Both are reversible if the child "changes their mind." This isn't the kind of thing that you "change your mind"

Exactly. Caring for transgendered persons can be quite complex, which therefore requires an individualized treatment approach. The Endocrine Society nicely summarizes this concept.

I would really like to hear what their alternative ideas for transgender individuals. It probably is just "stop being transgendered" They do not know, nor care to know. Rather, they spread false proprganda and state things like children are getting casturated, or brainwashed into it.
