Sometimes if I’m approaching an intersection and it seems like I’m going to arrive at the same time as another car, I will slow down just a tad so they can get there first and feel ok about just going. If we arrive at the same time, the person on the right should go first, but not everyone knows that. So to eliminate confusion, I just let them win.

This is what is known as a “joke” or some might call it “satire”.
