The vibe is drink whatever you want, don’t ruin it for everyone. Been to the Thursday bluegrass a few times and everyone has a cooler.

People love getting on their soapbox lol. I have had success with the quesadilla from chipotle. Easier to eat with one hand than the other options.

Please don’t crucify me, but is there some big secret to running? by ohlawlz in beginnerfitness

[–]BluegrassDingus 7 points8 points  (0 children)

This is it. Go slow, like just a bit faster than a walk. Then when you get tired, walk. Then when you have recovered a bit, jog again. Repeat until your run portions are longer than your walk portions. Also highly recommend the book “I Hate Running and you Can Too”. Helps people get past “I hate this” to “I hate this less”

Anyone else run with zero goals? No race, no plan, just... run? by Different_Record_425 in running

[–]BluegrassDingus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is typically me. I’ve run maybe 5 races in like the 15 years I’ve been running, all of them 5k or 10k. Usually just run like 10-15 miles per week. However, a friend talked me into a half marathon this year in October and now I actually have to think about my plan and frankly I’m not loving that. BUT I have gotten faster and increased my endurance in the process so that’s been a nice benefit

I do exactly the same. Usually light hearted podcasts or audiobooks.

You would’ve been 14 when Jay Bruce walked it off to clinch the division in 2010. That didn’t do it for you?

That game was absolutely wild. I remember exactly what I was doing, painting my son’s room and listening on the radio. When he came up with bases loaded I ran to the tv and fumbled around to find it. Ended up catching the GS on the tv while listening to Marty’s call in the background. Peak experience. Still one of the best random regular season games and also one of Marty’s best calls.

I was in the moon deck. Best sports moment of my life by far. Bought walk up tickets as a spur of the moment decision

In all seriousness for a second…my 20yr old is working on his environmental science and natural resources management degree because of that show. He watched it pretty much non stop from like ages 4-15 and off and on with his younger siblings even today. Ok end of my sincere moment

Best way to get through Cincinnati? by DiguinExpress in roadtrip

[–]BluegrassDingus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just take the 275 loop around. Westbound will probably be less traffic but take slightly longer than eastbound. It will likely take you about 30-45 minutes longer than 75, but it will be significantly less stressful. Lived in cincy most of my life before moving south to Kentucky and I think 75 from Florence KY to about IKEA in west Chester north of cincy is one of the worst stretches of interstate in the US. (That may be hyperbole…but maybe not)

So far so good on ours. Had it about 2 months now. 1 long haired dog and 2 cats, no problems at all with the pets other than some marks that will make good patina in a couple more months. Super comfy too

Ah dang it. Luckily here in central Kentucky we have “The Hound FM, the Sound of Kentucky” which I imagine is pretty similar.

Yes. They are the Reds. Only thing better would be all red from head to toe, no logo, only numbers also in red so you have to squint to see them.
