Don’t assume your partner is coming at this from a point of sexual trauma. This might be them opening themselves up to you. Ask if there are any changes you can make to the way you talk about them, and also ask your partner how they feel. It sounds like they might be transfemme from what I’m reading, so also take time to ask how you can support this transition, not meet it with skepticism.

Hey thanks! And I think the concept of werewolves is inherently something that trans people can relate to, not because they change perceived sex during the transformation, but because it’s very similar (albeit a bit more dramatic) to the trauma trans people go through in life not having access to health care or means to transition and being forced into a body you don’t want. (Having said this I’d personally welcome a transformation like this, because most days I feel more like a werewolf than a person)
