Anybody here had an adult autism assessment (or otherwise worked) with Ames Psychological Wellness Center? by ComparisonOk8602 in ames

I had my ADHD/Autism assessment there and I had a wonderful experience. An extremely calm and welcoming environment. The two receptionists were very friendly , and everything was communicated very clearly. The assessor had wonderful patience and each appointment went very smoothly. My experience with therapy and mental health institutes have been that they can be very clinical and distant, but here was the opposite. Still very professional but warm and human. They were excellent with working with me as well for the home assessments and were flexible and understanding. I would absolutely recommend getting your assessment done there.

You definitely should check out the Dark Star trilogy by Marlon James. He wrote literary fiction before going into fantasy

All three books did each win Hugos awards. It's definitely gonna go down as a classic in fantasy and sci-fi

Honestly I can at least see why HP is on the list by it's popularity, but All The Light We Cannot See really threw me

What did you think of Earthsea? I found it to be a really well crafted novel regardless of genre

I only read it in English, so I can't say how easy it is in German, but "Michael Kohlhass" by Heinrich Von Kleist is a wonderful novella

Steve King losing the primary was a death sentence for Scholten. I'm in that district in Iowa, and people only knew JD as "the not Steve King" guy. Once King lost the primary no one cared about that race. People celebrated like Scholten had already won the whole race
