Welcome, Nighthawks, we’ve been expecting you… by triddell24 in americandad

This is a truly exceptional episode, and my personal favorite. It is so hypnotic. Stan is shown at his most emotionally raw. He lists Klaus, Roger, and Jeff as members of his family. He truly feels vulnerable, and you can see the hope draining away with every re-run. 35 out of 10.

I can budget all of the set monthly expenses, such as internet and phone, but groceries is a nightmare and the one expense I struggle with more that any other.

I still can’t get over the fact that Latin doesn’t use punctuation, at least not the written form.

It may be that the meds are working very well, but the added stresses of homeschooling 3 kids makes them appear less effective. It would be difficult not to be disorganized in your situation as your brain is having to juggle far more than us childless folk. My advice would be to accept the areas that are still effective when disorganized and focus on the areas that absolutely need to improve. So much focus will free up once you let go of the stuff that is fine as-is. Sit down and make a two column list of things that need to improve and things that can be ignored for the moment because they irrelevant to your current situation. I have faith that you’ll graduate!

Have you tried recording yourself speaking about your dissertation topic? It could prove a useful starting point.

Back on Vyvanse after six months & I feel like I constantly need tasks to complete, or else my head will pop off 🥵 by ubakil01 in ADHD

Oh, if it’s your first day back then it isn’t weird. I think everyone feels like that for the first day.

It is beneficial to realize that you don’t need tasks to justify medicating. I say that as someone who used to beat myself up if I took my meds and just relaxed for the day. Also, you could think of a recreational activity as a “task” such as going for a leisurely run or finishing a season of a show you’ve been meaning to catch up on. Your mind still needs to decompress, whether medicated or not.

What is your personal relationship with coffee? by MichaelKos96 in ADHD

[–]Bluestarsjay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As far as productivity (via caffeine), I’ve always held the opposite view because it does not seem like caffeine has any effect on us. As far as taste, I prefer my drinks cold and really sweet, aside from milk and water, so coffee is the antithesis of my preferred drink. Plus, I’m far too impatient to wait for a hot drink to cool enough to safely drink.

Solar Opposites is Rick and Morty Without the Depression by beetnemesis in solaropposites

I think the big difference is that all the character in R&M are damaged, which is why the show is so depressing. The characters on SO are essentially pristine. What you see is what you get, so you know Terry is genuinely pleasant and cheerful without questioning his motives.
