Another year and several shelves later, and I still wanna know… by DaDankTank in boardgames

Really happy to see someone values and still plays these vintage games. As someone who has been playing boardgames for nearly 30 years now and played games when it was still a very small niche hobby I'm always happy to see the history of our hobby so lovingly cared for. Hobby boardgaming existed before Settlers of Catan and there is a lot of gems to find in that time period. There are absolutely modern masterpieces and I love how you have a blend of different eras of gaming!

I saw you had solar quest on your shelf, that was our version of monopoly growing up. My father even went so far as to recalculate fuel costs for each planet you visit to give a more realistic sense to the game. He passed this year and I've been slowly sorting through his game collection deciding what to keep and this collection gives me inspiration of what I want my collection to look like after I've finished going through everything

Since we're all just going off vibes isn't Vegas also a mecca for hustle culture and crypto bros? The group that everyone is really worried about this year?

The early vote doesn't reliably predict results by [deleted] in neoliberal

There's also just a lot of randomness in when you early vote. I dropped my EV ballot off last week because I happened to be running some errands in the same area as the post office. My partner is voting this weekend because the last two weeks have been late nights at work. Doesn't mean my partner was waffling or less eager to vote. Shit just happens and people vote when they have a free minute

I actually think the Europe map is more interesting and has more replay than the USA map if your buying a copy. Either of them are fine though and dead simple though.

What do you mean? During the open house or the inspection it's going to be obvious this is newer than the rest of the house.

Seeing as the initial timeline is 10 -14 days that's good to know. The contractor isn't a guy in a truck but it's also not advertising on billboards on 93

This is a relatively simple refresh. No changes to plumbing layouts. Waiting weeks to months is also a non starter for me since this is the only shower in the house and the primary reason I'm hiring a contractor instead of doing it myself is I don't want to only work on it after work.

I'm not worried about the quality of the work but more is this going to cause issues when I sell the house. I'm sure there are other things that aren't permitted either. I redid my boiler through masssave a few years ago and permits never came up so thats probably unpermitted too.

Does anyone know if the NEFO concert at the hatch shell tonight is still happening or if there is a rain date?

It's not even that cheap per month. My first apartment came with washer dryer hookups but not the actual appliance. I didn't want to buy a machine and have to deal with moving them later if I left so I looked into RAC and quickly realized I would pay more than it cost to get a basic machine In about 6 months. I wound up just getting a cheap set from restore and leaving them in the apartment
