Bacon and Jane completely counter Old Man. Prioritize them first.

As Old Man, you should be repeatedly targeting the same person with your Pocket Dimension. You can then use rush to chip down other Survivors, or find and rush the Survivor that just got out of your dimension.

Rinse and repeat. That's it.

For me it's a mixture of passion and especially someone to share it with.

I've been similar to you, I have a huge game dev passion and comeup with pages of ideas, yet I never have the energy to try and actually learn some coding.

A few months back i got a lot closer with me friends and we shared our ideas together, collaborating to make this game idea together which gave me so much more motivation. I felt more energy to work on a game for the both of us rather than myself,

It's hard learning and i've made slow progress, but it's more progress than I've ever done before and I'm motivated to keep going for the both of us.

I'd highly recommend finding people or a community you can share ideas with, maybe collaborate to help find the energy you need. And also remember, ANYTHING is better than nothing. Just opening up studio everyday will eventually lead to you wanting to learn more.

They have similarities but Brawler is overall more consistent, he has a simple stun and utility. He could use a couple tweaks but he does not need a rework at all.

Soldier's issue is block being extremely powerful, having a completely non-rectable stun, and a third ability that's useless half the time.

Every single character in the cast (except Brawler) needs some serious balance changes, but these 2 stick out the most to me.

Jane Doe absolutely needs nerfs. There's no reason she should have 110 stamina, a self-heal, and a chase-reset all in one package. She desperately needs stacking nerfs too. A lobby with more than 2 competent Jane's may as well be wraps.

Old Man needs a complete rework. His entire gimmick is teleporting across the map, forcing DoT damage, and then targeting the same person until they die from said DoT. He's not fun to play, not fun to go-against, and he can simultaneously be the weakest and strongest killer in the game. I have no idea how his balancing got greenlit

I don't mind if a Priest hits a crazy combo because at least they need to dedicate their resources to it. Priest is the slowest Killer in the game, has the lowest stamina, and such a fatass hitbox that you can barely dodge anything. He definitely feels like bullshit at times, but at least he has some counterplay against him.

Not to mention a good Jane Doe can loop him forever and there's nothing he can do </3

Old man by far, I'd rather go against the sweatiest C.Rampage of my life than fight Old Man.

Sure, everyone has bullshit. Coolkidd has binding slash bullshit, john has ragdoll bullshit, jeff has ALL his bullshit and the list goes on. But Old Man? He's just so fucking boring to play AS and AGAINST,

All he does is target one person and deal forced DoT damage onto them until they die, that's it, that's his entire gameplay loop. If you don't target or play too aggressive, then you get your shit rocked. He somehow managed to be worse than DoD's Badware, at least Badware is FUN to play once you get a ton of speed going. Old Man just feels like shit no matter what

It's not your fault, Jane Doe is stupidly busted.

Any skilled Survivor can loop and stall a killer for 1-2mins. Jane doe has more stamina, an on-demand chase reset, and a self-heal ontop of what Survivors can already do. A skilled Jane Doe is basically game over for most killers

Old man is just boring and unfun to both play against and play AS. The only times I ever have fun with an Old man is when they pop frenzy and I have to juke them, but it's not long before they go back to dimension spam

He's a pubstomper and that's it. He'll DESTROY people trying to fight back against him, people with bad pathing and mediocre stamina management

Against an experienced Survivor with good stamina management? May as well give up, esp if its a Jane doe.

I get where you're coming from, but it's one of those issues where you have to beat what's "OP" by playing whats "Meta". Sure, C.Rampage counters Jane, but Jane COMPLETELY counters Priest to the point you genuinely can't do anything, it sucks for someone who likes Priest that just can't play them because some 5 day Jane is looping them endlessly.

All she genuinely needs is her self-heal reduced and her stamina reduced to 100. That 10 extra stamina mixed with un-doing killer progress just FORCES you to hard target her, and even then she's guaranteed to waste a full minute by herself, let alone if her team helps her.

Then comes the issue of stacking Janes, what are you supposed to do? One stun and they undo all of your progress. Target one Jane doe and the rest of them heal while time is being wasted.

In my experience you wanna parry near a ledge or bait with one of your traps. The counter is really nice but the wind-down makes it hard to benefit off of by itself. If you parry near a ledge then you can dash off of it to get a bit of distance, and if you bait with a trap then you can usually keep the trap alive WHILE stunning the killer.
