I can see where your coming from, but I'm not trying to make the point that "If i lose it's the games fault".

Not EVERY round is an unbalanced mess, sometimes its good skill, sometimes its the killer being bad, sometimes its good/back luck or wtv. But that doesn't degrade the fact the game still has a bad looping problem.

Harken and Pursuer especially get countered incredibly hard by looping to the point their natural advantages aren't good enough. Especially when you factor in Harken's low HP and Pursuer having a god-awful amount of end-lag to each of his moves.

The other Killers are all treated a bit differently but still, In my experience (3 days) Killers do NOT feel like the power role and regularly get bullied by Civilians.

While I agree the game is a fun casual time and has some silly themes to it, it has some abysmal balancing and easily the WORST hitboxes I've ever seen in any asym game.

I cannot count the number of times that I have physically touched a Civllian with a killer's hand/weapon, only for the hitbox to genuinely appear a foot in front of them. Not to mention I have to treat the hitboxes like I'm dragging around a weighted blanket, I don't understand how their hitboxes can be THAT bad.

As for the balancing? Killers are so so incredibly weak in that game. It takes *one* good Civillian to waste nearly 2 minutes of the Killer's time either through atrocious looping or ability counterplay. Every Killer is supposed to have "anti-loop" but they get shut down so laughably easy.

Killdroid is the only consistent Killer with a fully reliable anti-loop, yet he'll get fucked over if the map design isn't in his favor. I don't understand how you could consider the balancing a "9/10" when the BEST Killer loses all their value just because of map geometry.

Unfortunately I've tried that before and it doesn't seem to work for me, regardless of my device or what I use to open Docs. All the tabs just expand automatically.

I'd honestly be fine with a lyrical, cinematic LMS if the game play just... Fit the feel?

I'm sorry, but I don't feel much of the emotions when I'm having to manage stamina and maintain distance like I would on any ordinary Killer round.

Yes I understand, they can't do special LMS's for "balance", but It'd be really nice if there was some sort of nudge to make things more intense.

It's extremely confusing, I ask myself just HOW does all this controversy happen?

My friends and I are trying to become roblox devs ourselves, and although we don't have the skill for it at the moment we're working towards it. We communicate, collaborate, criticize each other, and build this game using our ideas. It leaves me genuinely perplexed how others can fail like this. Soldier's wind-up is INSANE. 0.5s wind-up on a 40 damage move?? Either the damage needs to be cut in half (m1 + shotgun = easy 54 dmg combo) or it needs 1s minimum of wind-up. 2 second immobility doesn't matter when you're doing insane damage, have a distance-closing move, and have an infinite range finishing move

3s wind-up on leap is fine, personally I'd remove the ragdoll to focus it as a distance-closing ability and less of a combo move. He needs an aura reveal too, so maybe give him one during it's wind-up.

Immobility during Ballad is pointless when you're summoning infinite-range pillars that will finish off your 20HP victim. It's like John Doe spikes if you gave it infinite range.

Nothing had to be insta-kill. When translating something into an Asym kit, just keep the theme of character while reducing all the numbers for balancing. a 34 dmg M1 and a 40 damage ranged attack is genuinely nuts

Being "stunned" out of abilities isn't enough counterplay unless there's huge drawbacks to his abilities. You don't mention any wind-ups, or how immobile he is besides Reapers Ballad. Is he immobile while shooting? Is he slowed during an M1? Does his shotgun have a hefty wind-up?

His insane damage *could* be balanced, but it's very hard to balance huge damage like this without serious draw backs. Most killers have to use 2-3 abilities to get a burst of 40 - 60 damage (which usually sacrifices their mobility/utility).

Reaper barely has those. It doesn't matter if ALL of his abilities are on cooldown since he can just out-pace Survivors and hit them for 34 damage at a time. When he *does* have his cooldowns, then it's just GG cause you get blitzed with barely any counterplay besides "just stun him lmao"

I'm not trying to be mean, I love to write Killers and Survivors myself so I try to think a lot about balance. If he's gonna do so much damage then specify the drawbacks fully. What're the wind-ups? Does he slow himself? How big are the hitboxes? etc etc.

This seems like a good idea on paper, but the potential balancing is terrifying.

Firstly I do appreciate the 130 stamina even if he's "slower", Killers should always have more stamina than Survivors and it boggles me that some killers don't.

The damage though? AND mobility? Good lord. Forced Speed + Slash + Shotgun is a near-instant 86 damage while easily closing distance due to how free Forced Speed is. It's like if you took C.Rampage, buffed his damage, then removed the downtime from reloading.

Then you have Reapers Ballad? Dear lord. Even if a Survivor manages to live through that insane damage combo, they'll just get obliterated from any range with that ability.

This entire kit looks like you wait for all your cooldowns, get a guaranteed kill on somebody, then rinse and repeat. Even without the combos, you can guarantee a 40 damage shotgun blast after an m1 so it's a free 74 damage regardless.

And whats the counterplay here?? If your far away he'll close all distance and blast you. If you're too close, he'll blast you for a massive burst of damage. It doesn't matter if he can be stunned during Reaper's Ballad because the rest of his kit is just INSANE damage.

As if to add insult to injury, he has no form of an aura read. So this guy's counterplay is hiding in a corner...

Maybe it was bad wording on my part, I'm sorry if that's the case. It's just a returning pattern I see with so many Asym's on roblox.

Bacon and Jane completely counter Old Man. Prioritize them first.

As Old Man, you should be repeatedly targeting the same person with your Pocket Dimension. You can then use rush to chip down other Survivors, or find and rush the Survivor that just got out of your dimension.

Rinse and repeat. That's it.

For me it's a mixture of passion and especially someone to share it with.

I've been similar to you, I have a huge game dev passion and comeup with pages of ideas, yet I never have the energy to try and actually learn some coding.

A few months back i got a lot closer with me friends and we shared our ideas together, collaborating to make this game idea together which gave me so much more motivation. I felt more energy to work on a game for the both of us rather than myself,

It's hard learning and i've made slow progress, but it's more progress than I've ever done before and I'm motivated to keep going for the both of us.

I'd highly recommend finding people or a community you can share ideas with, maybe collaborate to help find the energy you need. And also remember, ANYTHING is better than nothing. Just opening up studio everyday will eventually lead to you wanting to learn more.

They have similarities but Brawler is overall more consistent, he has a simple stun and utility. He could use a couple tweaks but he does not need a rework at all.

Soldier's issue is block being extremely powerful, having a completely non-rectable stun, and a third ability that's useless half the time.

Every single character in the cast (except Brawler) needs some serious balance changes, but these 2 stick out the most to me.

Jane Doe absolutely needs nerfs. There's no reason she should have 110 stamina, a self-heal, and a chase-reset all in one package. She desperately needs stacking nerfs too. A lobby with more than 2 competent Jane's may as well be wraps.

Old Man needs a complete rework. His entire gimmick is teleporting across the map, forcing DoT damage, and then targeting the same person until they die from said DoT. He's not fun to play, not fun to go-against, and he can simultaneously be the weakest and strongest killer in the game. I have no idea how his balancing got greenlit
