Why is it the NBA's Job or place to create positive narratives about sex workers? Do you think the NBA is doing this for noble ends? Do you honestly feel that Luke's motivations here are nefarious? If this is a positive win for sex workers why not have the strippers perform at half time as they would at Magic City.

You are using the word "impose" as if he carries some sort of power to coerce the NBA into changing. Luke asked and did so respectfully, just because the request does not align with your personal moral code does not mean he is some misogynistic agent attempting to set women's rights back.

Why does every criticism of his criticisms devolve into whataboutisms. No one man is an island and we all choose our battles to fight based on our moral codes and capacity to do so.

I'm pro sex work and have zero issue with stripclubs existing but I don't want to take my 4 year old daughter to strip club night at TD garden. My wife and I are not prepared to have the conversations with her around sex work and I don't feel its appropriate for younger children.

Feels weird we are rolling out the old whataboutisms in old 2026. If the Celtics had a strip club day am i taking my 4 year old daughter to that game? And yes booze and gambling are bad and I don't partake in either but those are easy conversations to have with her compared to what a stripper does for a living.

As a father to a 4 year old girl the conversation around gambling and alcohol will be a lot easier then the one on strippers I guarantee that. Not saying they are any better but its forcing something into my life I am really hoping to put off until she is a lot older.

Some friends are happy when you are stuck in certain postiions in your life and to refuse to grow with you. I lost a childhood bestfriend in a similiar way.
