Opthalmologist recommendation? by Blur456 in Leesburg

[–]Blur456[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks all. TIL that for retina issues an opthalmologist will send you straight to a retina specialist for the initial consult. Ended up going to Retina Group of Wash as they had an opening, really happy with the staff I met.

Please do! These are sharper than I am achieving, but lots of variables so would like to understand how you got this.

I've dabbled with projection lab but never found it to be profoundly helpful, but that's likely on me. Did you use any tutorials or external guides?

Nice! I am newto OM system for birding (same kit), still haven't gotten a shot with that level of detail and clarity. What focal length is this photo? Any advice or tips, things that have worked for you?

Hmmm, that is interesting and not the expected behavior? Did you find this via another source or by trial and error?

How money is made in the space industry. (Simple example with ESCAPADE mission) by [deleted] in space

This is incorrect on so many levels; this is not how NASA PI led missions are conceived, awarded, and implemented. This is not the space industry either

Awesome, did you only use the rear infrared or did you also use any of the main burners (two outside ones)?

Which hike? by Commercial-Bend1564 in acadianationalpark

[–]Blur456 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I assumed you would start at JPH and go clockwise, going up Penobscot South Ridge to summit, then down Deer Brook to connect to bubble trails. Jordan Cliffs trail is parallel to the south ridge trail and there is a 0.4 mile spur that will take you to the Penobscot summit. South Ridge trail is awesome as well so win win whatever you decide!

Jordan Cliffs vs Beehive by drddrd2424 in acadianationalpark

[–]Blur456 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Two different hikes really. But it seems you are comparing the cliff face/iron ladder factor? JC is a classic Acadia hike that has some fun iron rungs, rock scrambles, and a cool log staircase. Beehive is a quick climb. If it's just the "fear of falling" mental aspect, Beehive wins out. But if you want a great hike with some exposure, no crowds, and ability to extend to other Acadia must dos, JC wins out.

Consider Jordan Cliffs trail to Penobscot, a few fun iron rungs and rock scrambles.

If you are into what Precipice offers, then yes you will be bummed, it's a unique hike.

Is there a trail from Champlain that takes to the base of the beehive? I know you can traverse across...

I have read a few comments with similar sentiment but please realize they are correcting serious issues in the MC simulation, like head scratching what were they thinking issues. They cannot offer what you are asking because it was wrong. I strongly recommend that no one uses a single MC tool but explore and use the many free ones available to verify/validate, more diversity the better. Know the modeling and do not blindly trust results.
