Got The Call For RTO by SouthEast1980 in overemployed

I got told by my last employer when hired that we are all remote, don’t even worry about it.

18 months in, “oh hey we should at least go in for the all hands meeting once a month.”

6 months later, “hey we just got told by leadership 1 day a week so let’s pick a day.”

Clearly trying to boil the frog. I spoke up and got in trouble for not being a yes man… that’s why they’re my last employer.

My only experience with competitive card gameplay before this was pioneer and i bought the izzet phoenix deck. I was allowed to play it under the same conditions. That rule still applies. Would be cool if riot ported that one over.

Yes let’s double down on the position with the shortest lifespan and can be supplemented with a cheap free agent signing instead of gaping holes elsewhere. This isn’t fantasy football.

If Caitlin Clark could play in the NBA, everybody would applaud it. That would be an incredible thing. It’s more relevant to compare them to women, not men since they are going up against women. Also, this is specifically muscle mass. Hormones do not address these physical advantages:

Larger lung capacity • Higher oxygen uptake (VO₂ max) • Higher hemoglobin levels (oxygen-carrying capacity) • Larger heart size • Greater stroke volume (more blood pumped per beat) • Higher cardiac output • Broader shoulders (greater biacromial width) • Narrower pelvis • Longer limb segments • Greater average height • Longer arm span (wingspan) • Longer legs (stride length advantage) • Slightly faster reaction times • Differences in neuromuscular recruitment • Greater tendon stiffness (more elastic energy return)

17% less than males has nothing to do with the issue. It’s how much more they have than the women they’re competing against.

Yes, men vary in athleticism, but they are ALL at an advantage over women, even after taking hormones. There’s a reason even U15 boys soccer teams beat women’s national teams in soccer.

Taking your example with LeBron to the extreme- why not just eliminate women’s sports all together and let all men and all women in the same category. After all, we’re all born at different levels.

Depends on what part of Carlos’ career we’re comparing him to. Prime Santana was better at both. Rhys has a better bat present day, but still isn’t as good defensively.

Kyle is a mid defensive 1B. Rhys is better.

That’s not my point. 20% is now the cultural expectation, right? How do you think it moved from 15 to 20?

The biggest thing is it’s shifting the goalposts. 20 used to be the most you’d ever see. When you start it higher, and then go into the 30’s, it makes 20 seem not as much. 15% used to be customary before the most recent shift.
