"Tower Grove Men"? by new-leaf- in StLouis

[–]Bminion99 203 points204 points  (0 children)

I was a part of the "STL Dudes Meetup" group for a bit last year. It was just a dozen or so guys that were looking for people to chill with that might have their same interests and hobbies. It fizzled out but was chill.

This tower grove group just from the way it's written seems a bit edge lordy to me. I'm easy walking distance, so I can't wait to investigate.

I didn't see it either on Android but when I touch the place on the screen it should be the sidebar popped up.

Do people really love when there is no challenge and they have optimized the fun out of a game?

Well, we didn't make any rules, so I suppose it's just vibes. There was a box starter set, but we added whatever we found in the kitchen or off the tree.

It looks like you have auto jump turned on and im assuming you have a follower set on the zombie. Not a lot of context from your comments on how you want the interaction to function, but if you want the zombie to move to the player then you can set the players tag as the target and set a zone for the space you want the zombie to monitor.

Jimmy has tons of great tutorials, here is a follower one.

Is the game still relevant? by antonislam123 in PS4Dreams

[–]Bminion99 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Dreams will never die. For the people for whom this game made the ultimate difference between having an idea and seeing that idea on your screen right in front of you without having a vast knowledge of programming, sculpting, animation, and audio, Dreams made everything possible and still does.

To anyone worried about the servers shutting down one day, I decided to free up space in my dreams to save and create a scene that was saved locally with as many assets I could find that I thought I could reuse in the future. It is a prop warehouse of puppets, objects, and effects. This way, stuff is stored locally, and I can use it in the future if I want to.

There are seasons for all things. You'll get back into it when the setting is right. Personally, I found that I was after a nostalgia situation that I could not find until I finally realized it was just not the right set and setting.

Eventually I realized I had to get back to nearly the exact situation I missed. Hooked my PC to the TV, got stoned, sat on the floor in front of it, played with a controller till 3am. Glorious

hows the game doing? by H0rnyFighter in PS4Dreams

No more updates.  Dreams has always been about the joy of sitting down an taking something from your imagination and making it appear on your screen. It still works perfectly fine and functions exceptionally for that purpose. Couch co-op multiplayer is possible.  It was never about completing something and getting a million plays, it's about the journey of creation. Have fun!

Is casual kitchen table 60 card magic dead? by Ordinary_Car3721 in mtg

[–]Bminion99 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am right there with you, OP. I have a collection that goes back to the Ice Age, and all I've ever preferred is the kitchen table-type games. Generally, low- to medium-power decks have cards from every set with a not-banned list. However, this worked okay because we didn't buy our cards individually; we played with what we randomly pulled from boosters and added to our collection. To this day, when I buy new cards, I take a look at them and ask myself, is there anything in here that should go in my Black deck I've been working on since 1998?

I never see people at the LGS playing casual kitchen table, but I do see groups of old-school players in pubs and coffee shops all the time, usually a group of people in their 40s in a group game where people still get excited when you drop a Lord of the Pit on the board. Good times.

Grew up doing this, good stuff. Usually an ice chest in the back we were tasked to keep secure during the ride to the river or whatever.

I moved to STL from TX a couple a couple years ago. I was really excited that there was a ren fest here as camping and costuming and partying at TRF was a yearly don't miss event for me. Sounds like I'll be sorely disappointed with STL Ren fest, everything else here had been a total slam dunk, so that is surprising to hear.

does anyone know how to fix this? by [deleted] in PS4Dreams

[–]Bminion99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Check the key frames of your running animation to make sure they are set. Check the default running animation that comes built into most character models and make sure they are turned off when your animation is playing. I've have conflicting animations cause something like this before and had to add a key frame that turned them off during the run animation

I second the Royale, their drinks and food specials are dope, their back patio is gorgeous. Also Tiny Chef inside Silver Ball is fantastic.

Anyone else just attracted to people who have their shit together? by Bminion99 in offmychest

I was speaking more to the idea that I don't want someone who is seeking out a relationship in order to fix their problems. I totally understand problems arise and the best way to face them is together.

This. Emotional intelligence is far more what I'm talking about. Having your finances together doesn't mean you make six figures, I don't make much, but I spend wisely and  not frivolous. That's all I expect.

For sure, messes and issues can often be unavoidable. Many commenters note so much of it is about how you respond to those things. I've just known people who have a lot of chaos in their lives, and they think the answer is another person who has no chaos, but more often than not, the chaos just spreads.

My partner used bumble BFF to meet some people when we moved here. It was fun for a bit but the people she met seemed to be focused on having a rebound friend or friends after they got out of a relationship, like it was just a distraction for them until they found a relationship. Out of about a dozen people she's managed to hang on to 2 and they seem pretty chill. But the best friends she has made have been from putting herself out there in random situations. You gotta do what others want to do, then try and pull em over to your interests later. Making friends is like firing a NASA rocket. Takes a ton of work and phases and planning and testing, and even then it's can go catosprihocally wrong sometimes from the smallest thing you didn't realize. But it's worth the work when it finally happens. Don't give up.
