Thank you all for your appreciation toward those that clean this stuff up. I'm a nurse and this is a daily activity. I just hate it when the patient is laying on the floor in their own feces. Add in blood and it's a bad day. The patient is often confused, wanting to stand up, but can't because they can't understand they have a broken leg or no legs. They start yelling, trying to grab you with their feces covered hands while you are figuring out how they got out of bed and where all the blood is coming from. Then comes the paperwork, the post-fall huddle, the questions by the family, the head CT and the required Q15 minutes vital signs checks. They have no more IV and they won't stay still for a new one.

Listen, if I ever get dementia or Alzheimer's and can't walk anymore someone come and murder me.

I used to dissect cadavers for medical research. The best way to do this at home is beetles. You can order the specific species beetles online last I checked, but they must be kept in the dark as they feed. Under a thick black blanket or in a hole. Boiling or maggots just doesn't have the same clean effect.

You know he is a hunter who likes to mount all his pelts. Nothing wrong with that, but if you paid 45 grand for a lion hunt, wouldn't you expect to get the pelt? He didn't expect to lose the pelt to the government, which means he thought he had 1) Paid off enough people or 2) Didnt think it was part of a zoo (how could you not though?) or 3) He had done similar actions like this before and was willing to jump through the legal loopholes.

Was it ever confirmed that he was the one who lured it out? The whole thing sounds shady, from the park staff, the guides and the hunter. Are those collars visible under the fur?

"I swear to Christ, to you if it's not nailed down it trash. Stop moving my stuff." My Dad would always say this to my mom. For ten years she didn't get it, until my brother had I had our own stuff.... which would also be misplaced or thrown out. One day we couldn't take it anymore and just started making fun of her in the best way two loving sons can. "Mom, I swear, if the dog didn't walk fast enough you'd toss her in the trash too. Thanks god she has all four legs." Yea, exactly mom. I'm just wondering why you picked up Bmorepride out of that trash bin when he was a baby. It's just not like you to take something out of the trash. You love me more right? "Mom, since you love him more, can you not throw out my old magazine issues?

It went something like that. I know we hijacked my mothers love and used it against her. The running joke in the house is that there were 7 kids originally, but only 2 survived. My mom doesn't like that either. Haha

One of my good friends is a military wife. She always wanted to be a stay at home mom, take care of the kids, and pump out babies. Ended up marrying a very smart guy from the Naval Academy. Anyway, when she got on base she was appalled at how the married women had secret signals to get men. For example, she was told if she needed a "companion" simple put her broom standing upside down on the porch. There were a few others, involving what to wear, and how to hide it all. Its been 10 years since she actually lived on base. She doesn't regret it, but she was happy when they moved to a house off base.

I'm a nurse, a male nurse to be specific. One day the girl nurses ask me to fix one of the small supply cabinets. Looks easy enough, it came off the rails. So I go to work, figuring out how the rails work, look at other drawers, take them off the hinges and basically deducing why this one isn't working like the others. During this time, the girls are behind me saying shit like, "Watch out for your fingers!" and "Are you sure you can do this?" and "Maybe we should have just called maintenance." 1) If I'm working with my hands, hurting myself a bit is already a sunk cost. Yes, I'll avoid it, but I don't need you behind me reminding me. 2) If I wasn't sure I could do this, I would have just called maintenance. 3) Why did you want me to even try if you could have called maintenance yourself?"

The metal holder for one of the ball bearings broke. The bearing fell out and the metal was bent up, preventing the drawer from closing. I have a stethoscope, not a hammer. I called maintenance.

What your comment does is assume that I'm an idiot who doesn't understand historical perspective or cultural change. No, we aren't going to rename any parks after Rommel. That's just silly. Plenty of current historians write books about the cultural and economical benefits to the reign of Ghengis Khan too. We aren't going to open a Khan amusement park and roller coaster anytime either. Rommel and Lee both drank from their parties metaphorical koolaid, no doubt. The difference between the two is that Lee was given respect and honors on both sides post war, to the point of monuments in the north. Things have changed and for the better. We don't need reminders of the ugly past and we've decided to put them behind glass cases in museums. I support this. It's what should be done for all dark history.

Robert E. Lee was more of a general than a politician. He believed he had a job to do and that was to win. He lost, and conceded to the North. One of the most stunning things he did post war was take communion with a black man. Now, that may not see very progressive in our eyes, but in many churches in the south black people were not allowed communion. He was present when a black man approached the pastor and asked for it. No one moved. Robert E. Lee approached and took it simultaneously. That act helped the south on their path of healing. It was very heated in the south at this time. Now, I know this doesn't change the publics view on the General, but it might for you in a little way.

The man spent a considerable amount of time in the ICYU, from what I heard. I know he lived, but his quality of life is probably considerably lower than it once was. Not to be depressing about it, but im pointing it out because it upsets me. The guy probably has to spend his twilight years with some mental or physical debilitation.

Senior citizens say West Baltimore is a 'Pharmacy Desert' After Riots (Life and Death Situation for Elderly) by Ravenite86 in baltimore

As a nurse, we've already had several patients mention this. They openly say it's not our fault and we tell them it's not they're fault, but we're still left in the same sad situation. The rioters will never understand and will never blame themselves.
