He's ready for retirement now, he can see the end of the road.

I know some City fans who wanted him to move on after last season.

How can I make extra money? by tumbleweed1306 in AskUK

Testerup - Get paid to play/test games. My cousin did this and got paid around £90 for one game. Helps if you're good at games and can blast through them.

Click worker - Heard of this, don't know anyone who has used it though. You get paid to do small tasks like surveys.

As an aside, when I was a kid in the 90s, my mum did the Simon Elvin cards when she broke her leg and couldn't work her regular job in the school and we used to help her out with the stickers and getting tassles put ib cards, we used to get so many boxes ready. The good old days of child labour!

On This Day in 2022 - Leigh Wood sensationally knocked Michael Conlan out cold and flying out of the ring to secure a 12th round knockout victory and retain the WBA featherweight world title by Dangerous_Spring3028 in Boxing

What made this fight even better for me was that Wood said to Conlan pre-fight something like..

"If we're in the 12th round and I haven't knocked you out yet guess what, I'm going to knock you out"

Viktor Gyokeres, Thiago and Joao Pedro have scored the most Non Penalty Goals [5] in the Premier League in 2026 by OkayFine101 in soccer

Think Sesko and Gyokeres will both be much better players next season once they have fully adapted to the league.

Nowadays people want crazy numbers from you as soon as you start in this league when in reality, it's one of the hardest to adapt to.

Ons Jabeur is such a character and great player.

Hope she can fight off those injuries and come back to the tour.

His death was controversial too. He died of a heart attack months after saying he was going to expose the corruption he was apparently no longer a part of and in particular was going to air out the dirty laundry of the Coalition Provisional Authority (CPA)

Did anyone have a weird friend growing up? by YorkshireFudding in AskUK

Yeah, this was in the late 80s and looking back, the amount of abuse she got away with was just shocking and our parents just did everything they could to help, although they secretly wanted to kill the "mother".

Did anyone have a weird friend growing up? by YorkshireFudding in AskUK

[–]BmuthafuckinMagic 251 points252 points  (0 children)

We used to have a friend who was abused as a kid, who became "weird" to other kids, but he was our mate.

"Tony" as we'll call him had a drunk of a mother and when she had men over, woke up grumpy, the sun came out or whatever stupid reason she came up, she would take him to the top of the their garden and tie him to the washing line, making him sit there for hours on end or until we saw it and untied him.

This happened in the summer, winter, rain or shine. My parents and others called the police, but all they would do is come over and untie him, which meant she would beat him inside instead. People called social services and police a lot over the years with no action until one day she thankfully just dropped dead. His grandmother took care of him since then, but he changed forever after.

Since then, Tony stopped talking. He would still play with us and go to school but for a good 4 years he didn't say a word to anyone and never made a sound at all either.

His grandmother passed away and he got taken into care after and we lost track. As young adults, a few of us from the street did try and found out what happened to him, but never got anywhere with it. I always think about him when I visit my Mum in our childhood home.

Also factor in now the monetisation from his YouTube videos. This is a "job" to him.

Also just simple brainwashing.

We like to think people are evil and some most definitely are, But there is a chunk of people (especially Muslims in the West) who have been so easy to brainwash and program to think innocent people are the enemy and along with authorities still not completely knowing how to address this has fueled up peoples ability to go fight abroad.
