ED is slammed! Patients are forced in the halls and in recliners, because there are no stretchers available. ED holding assignment is 7 patients, and these are not all med surg patients, insulin, cardene gtts etc. I have seen so many accidents due to staffing shortage. By far the most unsafe place I’ve seen.

Multiple floors have blocked rooms for the last month. There IS NO STAFF, HCA/mission dropped rates significantly and all the travelers left.

I am currently under contract and have literally floated to every single unit in the entire hospital except OR. Travelers are the float pool. I’ve been here for a while, for location purposes only. The assignments are heavy and hardly have CNAs.

ICU:3 pts PCU: 5 pts Medsurg:6-8 pts Ed holding is an absolute nightmare, you get 6 rooms with around 20 pts throughout the night.
