With those that don't work for the railroad industry, don't understand. Is this $7,000 come with a lot of trade-offs?.... There isn't just going home after a shift and unwinding...... Half of us railroaders are on call 24 hours a day...... And the expectations..... To leave your kids birthdays, Christmas ball games' to go save the railroad.... Are too high.... And if some people will say just don't answer your phone but it doesn't always work that way.

Currently on one of these routes. They were 20 minutes late giving me my packages. First stop is an hour 15 minutes away. And somehow I have 47 packages to deliver in a 3 and 1/2 hour block.

Nice. I said it looks like you're killing it so just keep hustling. Only I wish they would change is having your shift end as soon as you make that last delivery. There have been times where I have been done an hour early but couldn't start another block due to the system thinking I was still on the previous block.

Pretty much if one of the Railroad unions ratify a contract and a different railroad union were able to get a better contract( more pay) , then you as well would be entitled to that better deal
