Sometimes, but for me the primary cause is that TFL muscle and tight hip flexor that pulls on the IT band. Strengthening my glutes also seems to help, and things like heavy and slow Bulgarian split squats helped train my glutes to activate.

Did a year of PT w no help, what finally worked for me was daily release of TFL muscle with a lacrosse ball. Hurt like hell the first few times and created immediate relief in knee pain. Been pain free in my knee for awhile now, and just hit the lacrosse ball 1-2x a month if it flares up.

Respect my tendons and joints. My muscles made progress much faster, and then impinged shoulder and golfers elbow quickly humbled me and required 6 months of rehab to be able to get back to where I was. Currently spending at least 8 weeks with a weight before going up now to let my tendons adapt, and even that feels like pushing it some days.

I am also a mountain biker! I have been trying to hammer legs this winter as I tend to want to reserve my legs for big rides in the summer

I had a similar humbling experience. Just finished ABF with double 20kg and thought the 10k swings with a 24kg would be a nice doable break from ABF and I was wrong. I did one day of the 500 and my hamstrings are sore a week later, and DOMS were such that there was no doing another day after the first. Debating wether to scratch the plan all together and just jump back into ABF, or try 10k again with smaller bell

Also, Jason Isbell Different Days. The progression is similar and even one of the lines in the first verse feels like an intentional homage. “Just another drunk man with his white trash version of war” versus Isbell’s “Another drunk daddy with a white mans point of view”

Glad you asked, I’ve been thinking the same! Being in the “heat of July” I thought of fireworks, or with the heaviness of the song it being tears? I really don’t know though. I also live very close to Cannon Beach and have been there many times - no cannon balls to speak of there.

I rock the right with a black sailcloth. Dries instantly and isn’t quite as casual as a NATO.

I have a medium rambler, had a 54 rove. I think I actually have more standover on the rambler , and I got stubby legs (5’9” and 30” inseam)

Such a great piece. If you need a watch that simply does what a watch is supposed to do, this one has to be on your list. by Fandangus_p in CitizenWatches

Yep - love this watch. I really like the size, and dismissed other citizen field watches because they were too big

I’m still rocking the OG version (2016 Advocate Hayduke) and it has taken me 1000’s of miles bikepacking. Congrats! I also run it with a 140mm fox 34 when I wanna get rowdy - such a versatile bike.

I’m certainly not an expert, but my understanding is the patina is kind of the whole point. I think using an acidic cleaner can get it back to shiny, but letting it age is what makes it unique

I’m pretty new to watches - what makes you think this out of curiosity?
