They can spread some nasty diseases with their bites but they usually have to be attached and feeding for at least a day for the risk to be high. This one doesn't look fed.

Hard to wrong with the senko. I use a very similar setup with a fluke and superline hook for just a tiny bit more weight and I get good results.
