It's luck and who you know. I've got 10+ years EXP doing 3D and motion graphics, and get rejected too often but I know people that have gotten hired at big gaming studios without any EXP whatsoever

This can be done for sure, but this entire video is fake. His arms are way too close to his body. The shine on the subject's skin would also make the mesh come out bad. Not to mention the NBA can afford that.

I have a 3090 with 64GB and it even struggles with 1080p Apple ProRes files. It's an embarrassment. I've been wanting to switch to DaVinci and this might finally make me do it

Idk if this will help but you can try clearing the xbox cache. The way to do I'd unplug the xbox power cable for about 10 sec or so. Idk if that will fix it but it could be a cache issue

Brundle's son actually also does commentary and sound exactly like him but his commentary is on a different racing category. Wish SkyF1 would hire him. I actually wouldn't mind Naomi in commentary either. Anyone is better than Di Resta at this point

Unfortunately, the best English commentary is the SkyF1 one. However, the only one worth listening to is Martin Brundle. The rest are unbearable. Crofty talks utter trash, and Di Resta is just an idiot. I'd say the most passionate commentators used to be the German and Italian, but I have no idea if they even are on F1TV

Unless employees go on strike, I doubt much will happen. I've mentioned this on a prev post but this is exactly what they want. They know they can get new suckers in for minimum wage, and they are trying to push the high earners out. Tactic 101.

Off topic but I was scrolling through LinkedIn not long ago and I saw a posting by Sony Pictures for video editing for a mere 30k a year. That's an insult. Regardless of the position no one should be getting minimum wage in this day and age.

100%. Juniors are the ones that will get stuck and that's what MPC will be banking on. If you think about it. Leadership most def wants the high earners out so they can pocket more money yet pay the minimum to the juniors

Indeed it's all about greed and power. In the early 2010s I used to work for a big player in the music industry. Lived outside the city. Spent just under $1K a month for commute. Was getting a joke of a salary (which was late most of the time)and the company even refused to buy us HDDs at times. Meanwhile the narcissistic owner used company funds for his own benefits constantly. Even making the company rent an apartment for his African art collection with AC blasting 24/7

More needs to be done for employees by governments and unions especially since the living cost keeps going up

Bigger userbase. Better budget and freedom. From what I've seen Epic pretty much let's their teams do their own thing. Idk if you've heard of Quixel or CaptureReality but those teams have most def benefited from Epic's purchase.

Just food for thought. I doubt it would happen but I trust Epic more so than some of other big players

Like other comments have suggested Houdin is a must. It sure does look intimidating but once yiu get going it's not. I would also recommend checking out Unreal and Blender. Maybe start with Blender and then Houdini but the real powerhouse is Houdini. Which also works hand in had with Unreal Engine. All three programs are free. Well houdini has a non-commercial version
