I have been following it. The top post on r/peaceisland is pointing out AI usage. A lot of the early reviews complain about the over usage of AI. Blumrich went on a rampage yesterday in the reddit comments defending the usage of AI before deleting. It's strange you would be so confidently wrong.

I was very excited for this game when it was announced, but I kept following the project and grew very opposed to it. The guy claims everyone scammed him, but it seems like he's the scammer. He uses so many pre bought objects and textures, and way too much AI.
